I've only had it for a couple weeks, but so far, so good! I managed to get a color which matches accents in the floor and shower curtain, so it looks good, and a size which fits perfectly. I'm also 70 and not as agile as I once was, so I was concerned that it might slip around when I stepped out of the bath, or be so thick that I might trip over it, but so far I haven't encountered any safety issues. The only problem I have encountered is keeping it clean and dry. It collects dirt and grime more easily than I would expect and it is very difficult to keep dry, especially after washing.

So this bath mat was the perfect size for our small bathroom. We just wanted something that I could kneel on while bathing my youngest and give my oldest a spot to completely dry off on before he sprints down the hall. Starting with softness this is AMAZING!! It came as pictured as far as colors go. It is great to kneel on while bathing a small child just as long as it isnt wet prior to the bath. Absorbency could drastically be improved!! It works but does not dry quickly at all the water basically pools at the top until it dries thoroughly basically overnight and this mat is located near a heat run. We've kept it but I will be on the lookout for something different as both kids transition to showers.

Read the size parameters before ordering. The picture is a little misleading. Thought there was more surface area for standing. If you are the first person in the shower the mat is nice material, very comfortable on the feet and soft to touch. If you are the second person going in or out of the shower the mat holds a lot of the water from the first person. Mat gets wet and mushy. Doesn't dry fast so water gets cold on your feet if you are the next one in. I actually lay a towel on the floor most days to avoid stepping on the cold mat due to the bathroom floor being cold so stepping on the mat is uncomfortable at times. A good mat for single use but not for family use. Hope others have had better results with this mat.

The Genteele memory foam bath mat is a joy to stand and walk on. The foam supports your feet and weight very well. The absorbency could be better, but I am pretty drenched when I step out, so taking that into account, my only real gripe is that the color didn't hold up after one wash. I have a new electrolux front loading washer and the color has faded and there is some color distortion from where black socks and and cotton getting on the fabric. All in all, I may try another color and stay away from colored socks, when this mat is in use.

Can't stand on these without falling over

Too thick, not in a good way. Even the strapping 20 year old lost his balance trying to stand on it. There is such a thing as "too thick". It's not soft as in plush, it's just thick and rubbery hard to get your footing, especially getting out of the tub, or trying to stand at sink. Very unstable, and cannot fit in washing machine. I had to throw them out. I couldn't give them away, even the two I didn't use.

It's not a bad bath mat - fairly cushy, soft underneath your newly-squeaky clean toesies, pretty good at not getting water all over your floor. There's two drawbacks, though:
1) It's going to be fairly smaller than you think it'll be from the pictures here. I was kind of disappointed once I took it out of the plastic, it's literally small enough to only cover the door directly into my shower cubicle.
2) THE. COLOUR. IS. SO. LOUD. Like, one step down from neon levels of loud. I like turquoise but good grief, this mat is the first thing anyone will notice in your bathroom. Unless you decorate with super bright colours, in which case you do you, I won't judge.

All in all, solid bath mat, better than bare tiles.

Strangest bathmat I've ever walked on. Your bare feet make this squishing noise when you walk on it, wet or dry. That's strange, but not really a problem. What is a problem is that it's got very thick padding (as advertised) but for me it's so thick that I lose the sensation of walking on a solid surface. I have balance problems and this mat makes it worse.

I ordered the standard size for a shower mat.
It is too small.
It does not absorb water.
I am using an extra towel on the floor to help me absorb water.
I would buy a different one for getting out of the shower.
It is very soft material and nice color (grey).
Would probably buy different material and bigger.

Great price and very thick ( make sure there is no door swing over where you want to place mat). Love the duck design but I bought the long May and it isn’t a perfect rectangle plus the crease from being folded has not come out after three days. I might have to wait until I wash them to see if it comes out at all.

I never saw a bathmat that is stiff as a board that you can’t throw over a towel rack to dry you really have to standing on end and lean it against the wall for it to dry not exactly what I expected but it works good as far as I don’t slip and fall on my butt on the tile floor.
