I'm 5'2'' and weigh around 110. I bought an xs and it fits perfectly, though my legs are not nearly as long as the gal modeling the skort, it still hits mid-thigh and flares at the right place. No pockets(I use it for running and golf), and the material is a nice weight, not too heavy or too thin. The color is bright and cheery, and after one washing, it comes out of the dryer with no wrinkles. Runs true to size and the elastic waist fits well. A good skort for running, tennis, or just hanging around when you want to be a little dressier than just running shorts, which feel too revealing when not running.
I got a medium and I wear a size 10 jean; I wear this for running and it fits me nicely though I do not have a runner's body (i.e., I have a butt). The shorts stay in place really well, my only complaint is that the skirt material is a bit heavy and very flared (as shown in the stock photo) so it moves a lot when running. By comparison, I also have the Asics PR skort, which has a lighter weight and more fitted skirt, though the shorts ride-up worse for me.
Update (8-16-2014): I now own three pairs of these Love skorts and I love them -- the fabric holds up really well with many washings. FYI, I just tried a new skort, the Bolle Women's Essentials Woven Fabric Pull On Skirt and it is also an excellent skort. The Bolle skort is a bit longer, less flared, and lighter weight in comparison to the Asics Love Skort. One drawback to the Bolle skort is that the flares can act like wings and cause drag on windy days, something I never experience with the flare of the Love skort. Either way, I think they are both excellent choices. Since the original review I have also tried the Sugoi Women's Verve Skirt and the ASICS Women's Racket Skort, but I feel these are inferior in fit and comfort to the Asics Love and Bolle skorts.
Cute design, however, despite having the correct size--I'm an 8 to 10, got the medium, and any larger would have fallen off--and despite the fact of two layers of fabric--skirt and shorts--it showed everything underneath: panty line, booty dimple, etc. The fabric is just too sheer/thin. This was the red. Possibly this problem would not exist in black or navy. (Conversely, it is probably far worse with the white.)
Would absolutely buy this style in a more substantial fabric. In this fabric, however, no way! I suspect this is why they are selling at a discount on Amazon, rather than for full price elsewhere.
I'm 5'7", 150lbs. I got a large. Could have gotten a medium. I am pretty curvy and I didn't love that the pleats were only on the sides, making my hips look bigger. I returned it because it didn't fit me the way I was hoping, but it's s great, high quality, cute skort!
This is a well-made tennis skort. Actually, the skirt’s material is on the heavy side for summer. The shorts is a lighter material. My daughter wore it for tennis. She liked it but hated that the shorts kept riding up. It’s annoying and distracting. We thought of returning it but we took the tags off so we’re stuck with it.
