To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I purchased these in Black, size 18 Short. Slightly heavier polyester fabric, maybe not for suitable for very warm summer days, but good otherwise. Pockets are made from same fabric, so won't be ripping out if you put your office keys in them (I've owned some lighter-weight poly slacks that had a gauzy fabric inside the pockets which didn't last long). I deducted a star for two reasons - the fit from the waist to the crotch is a little too long - I am 5 ft. 2 and have to roll the waistband once (other than that, they fit great). Also, these arrive folded twice around a piece of cardboard, and it takes quite a few launderings to get those creases to come out. Can't be seen on dark colored slacks, but I also have these in light grey, and I think it took about 6-8 washings for those fold marks to vanish, but before they do the crease is very obvious at the knee. It does go away, but just kind of annoying.
Great, solid color pant if you're looking for a basic, no frills item. was pleased that there are pockets, but they don't flair out or otherwise add to an area I don't need anything added to. Good, thick, wrinkle resistant material. I'm going to buy more.
My 85 year old mom has been asking me to help her with an on-line pants purchase as she says I'm very "savvy" on the computer. Not to brag, but I'd like to say that I'm an avid on-line shopper and often like to talk a bit about my amazing finds. Well, talk no more....
To her dismay and mine (which she actively only blames on me), her pants arrived and the "short" length required for her 5'4" height was too long for my 5'9" length. She liked the fabric, style and price, but she is stuck on the length portion. Now, will this impact my inheritants or self worth?!.... no. However, my title as "online shopping queen" exists no more.
If you are on the short side, prepare to have a seamstress available for adjustments. Otherwise, the pants are great.
I thought a short pants for average sized some would be the ankle-length for me, but I was wrong. They are long! I am 4'11" and have bad luck with pant length, even petite is still too long for me. I will keep these pants but will need to have them taken up a bit.
I was hoping the reviews weren't right as I was looking for a ankle-length type as suggested by the picture. I am 5'4" and they are a regular length for me. They are however well made and would be perfect, but just not the length I wanted for the summer. The picture is deceiving, so the reviews are correct, if you are short they will be a regular length.
