I'm about 5'5" 140lbs and usually size Medium which is what I ordered. I was very happy with the first pair, so I ordered a second pair of them. The material wasn't exactly the same between the two, however they're both still true in fit and very comfortable. Much cheaper than Under Armour or name brand leggings but virtually feel and look the same as the UA gear I have. Very happy with them and would order more Amazon Essentials brand in future. I've also ordered Amazon Essentials tank tops and same quality at a great price.
These leggings are great: they're thick, offer good tummy support (my wife is a bit self conscious of her "mommy belly", having given birth to our second child months ago), and the price is unbeatable. My wife uses them both for jogging or under long tunics/short dresses.
Fabric is soft - not slippery or shiny. The fit was true to size for me - I am a medium. They feel good; not too tight nor are they falling down during the work-out. I rated 4 out of 5 stars because they are a littler higher waisted than the typical mid-rise that I prefer. I won't send them back and will probably get the navy ones once they are back in stock.
Other color choices would be cool -- maybe dark purple or darker turquoise?
Bought these for my significant other. Usually I don't fair well buying her clothes, especially in the pants category, but the reviews looked promising and price was acceptable. Low and behold she said they fit good and are very comfortable. She's even mentioned it a couple times since I gave them to her.
I usually wear a size large, ordered a medium based on the reviews. It was snug but it fit. Only problem is the waist rolls down but it could be because it’s slightly too small. I like the slick material...I prefer that over yoga pants material. It reminds me of Nike crop gym pants I use to have but don’t want to buy again because they’re like $50. As for it being squat proof...not so much. It’s a liiiiiittle bit see-through but I wore a long T-shirt to cover my bum when i worked out (weight lifting). I’m 5’4”, 168lbs, curvy in the hips...purchased medium which was a little snug. Large probably would’ve been better.
Update 9/25/2019: I ordered another pair in Large. If it perfectly around my hips but around the waist/stomach was a bit loose...even with my belly. I might just be in between sizes.
