UPDATE: After a month of using these towels I went ahead and bought a second set. Same thing, I washed and dried about 3 times before the lint started to subside. But for all the punishment my sons put them through, they have lasted with no frays or tears. A couple of weeks ago I cheaped out and bought a different brand for a few dollars less..... WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Nowhere near as thick or soft, we didn't bother opening the package.

I am now returning those and buying my third set of these towels.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
Just got these today. I took a risk with these because I can't find any towels in turquoise with really high number of reviews (not ratings). The poor reviews about lint are true! We immediately washed and dried, cleaning the lint filter three times! I was warned.

Also, I feel the color was off, not as deep as in the photos. They are thick and seem to hold up in the wash, I will update accordingly.

I love the look of these towels. They're big and soft. However, the amount of lint coming off of them is pretty substantial. I bought these in turquoise and black. I washed the turquoise once as directed and dried them on low. The first use left fuzzies everywhere. In my washer, my dryer, on me and on my floors. I washed the black twice and then dried them. They threw just as many fuzzies as the turquoise. I'm really hoping that continued washing will lessen the amount of lint. Fingers crossed.

I would absolutely wash before use, they shed quite a bit in the dryer (I dried multiple times on lower setting and the pic is the total amount of lint), but after that they did not shed at all when used. They are very lightweight and way softer than the towels I've been using for years. Would definitely buy again and do recommend

There were some reviews that had complaints about different aspects of these towels. I don’t understand why. I washed the towels first, just like the company asked me to. There were no defects in color or quality of workmanship. Long story short, these towels are definitely worth the asking price.

The quality is pretty poor even for the lower price point. I have $8 towels from target that are better quality and more soft. Towels arrived with threads combining loose and are pretty flat, even after washing. I wouldn't buy again and plan to return the ones I did buy. There are better products out there for this price.
