Size is a little roomy. I got the xl and am a 14, great for hiking.
I haven’t zipped off the legs yet. Washed well.

Feel very stiff and crackle when moving. Like the zip off legs to make shorts.

The quality seems nice. Not as moveable as I would have thought. A bit tight in the thighs and loose in the waist.

4.0 out of 5 stars Extra long and durable.
Reviewed in the United States on 10 March 2020
Colour: SteelSize: Small
I am 5'9", and 120lbs. My waist is 27 inches. I got size small.
FIT: The pants are at least 2" too long! Long pants in size small is very rare for me, as I am rather tall. The waist could be a little smaller, but does stay up. The waist has elastic, so it will definitely still fit me if I grew a bit larger. Overall, I was surprised that these fit so well (besides the length), and am very happy with them in that regard.
FEEL: I love how comfortable these pants are! They are roomy, allowing movement and never pinching, but at the same time they are not baggy or falling off. The fabric has a slight stretch and is great at wicking away moisture/sweat. You can definitely tell the pants are polyester, as they have this "plastic" feel to them. They also make an annoyingly loud "snowpants" noise when I walk. The pant's fabric is a little too thin around the seat. You can sometimes see my underwear lines through the back of the pants, depending on my position. However, you can not see color through the pants. I like the high waist of the pants, making it easy to tuck in my shirt.
DURABILITY: The pants seem very durable. Though the fabrix seems thin, it is tough. It will hold up well against scraping/pulling that happens on hiking trips. The stitching is tight and well sewn. The zippers are good quality, zipping smoothly. I can see these pants lasting me a long time.
FEATURES: I love the 2 large front pockets, which easily fit my LG phone, plus a smaller one with a zipper. The pants have zip off legs that convert the pants into shorts. This is super convenient for longer hiking trips. The pant legs cinch at the bottom, which is a very useful feature! This kinda makes up for the extra length, as I can cinch them around the top of my shoes to avoid stepping on the pant hem.
On the whole, I love these pants and definitely recommend! Just keep the length in mind...

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality hiking pants that fit well for taller women
Reviewed in the United States on 30 May 2020

Took a chance on these for my wife as an extra pair of hiking pants. She wears a 28-inch inseam, and arctix.com says that the "regular" inseam is 28-inch. As it turns out, buried in the detailed product description it says "31-inch inseam" so these ended up being way too long for her. Deducted one star for hard-to-find size information.

The rest of the review is hers.

These are comfortable and I would say runs slightly larger on the waist. The pants are labeled as a 31 inch inseam — it would likely be closer to a 32 inseam if not longer. I wear a 28 inch inseam so these ended up being so long that I have to use the drawstring cuffs - otherwise they're too long on me. I like the fabric and it seems to wash and dry well. Good pants for hiking and backpacking. The fit is something to be desired, but once you know what fits — it ends up being a decent buy. The length of the shorts isn’t bad either since these are convertible pants and I can open them up halfway on a very hot hike.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice pants, could use more pockets

Pants run long but have adjustable toggle at end of pant leg to adjust. Feels long when barefoot but fits fins when have on hiking boots. The small fits well for lounging and are more flattering than my other baggier hiking pants. However I might should have sized up because the slim fit means the zippered leg section rubs against my thighs when going up hills or stairs. The zipper doesn't leave a mark, it just distracts me. The zippered legs are easy to remove and reattach. I do wish there were back pockets for both aesthetics and phone storage. Pants wash up well

4.0 out of 5 stars Great hiking pants!
Reviewed in the United States on 15 April 2020
Colour: SteelSize: Small
These Arctix Convertible Trail Pants run true to size, but also have built in areas of elastic for freedom of movement while hiking (Love that!) and room for growth (hello quarantine!) There’s zippers to take the bottom portion of the pants off, they are well made and are easy to use. The bottom of the pants have a drawstring to cinch them closed. For bugs? Tall grass? Not sure, but it’s cool. There’s also a zippered pocket on the sides of the pants. The only weird thing is there’s no back pockets. It’s just a preference, but I think it looks a bit weird. Only reason for the 4 stars. Excited to get out and use them!

4.0 out of 5 stars The only complaint I have is that there are no back pockets
Reviewed in the United States on 7 April 2020

Great pants! Nice quality! I really like how these pants fit, even though they are a bit long. There are great pockets all over. The fabric is breathable and will be very comfortable on hikes. The pants also convert to shorts, which is a neat feature. Even though the pants are a bit too long for me--- they have a nice drawstring at the end of each leg so I can easily tighten and shorten them. The only complaint I have is that there are no back pockets--- not a big deal, but I'd like to have back pockets on all of my pants. All in all--- I think these are a great product and I look forward to hiking in them in the future!
