This is very misleading. I bought this thinking I was getting 2 bottles 236ml each, not 2 bottles equivalent to 236ml. I wouldn't have bought this if it was advertised correctly at 118ml per bottle. You can get resin cheaper from other stores.

I feel I have been misled. When I read your product title it read 8oz/236ml. You did not make mention that was the total qty for both bottles, as such it is so expensive for this product. $50 plus expensive shipping I waited fourteen days for basically two bottle containing 118ml each bottle.

I bought these as a first time resin user because of the "four easy instructions".
This is not the case. I followed the exact instructions but my pressed flowers keep floating to the top & sticking out.
Massive waste of $60

Very misleading advertising, they advertise 8oz but it isn't its 4oz in each bottle which you have to mix for a total pour of 4oz.

NOTE - THIS IS NOT A CASTING RESIN!
Reviewed in Canada on 31 August 2018Verified Purchase
I have previously used "Ice Resin" for making keychains and other casting uses. Amazon's algorithm recommended this as similar, but cheaper, so I figured I'd give it a try. Unfortunately, this is NOT the same type of resin - it's intended for very thin layers only. So unless you want to make your cast in many many small layers, this isn't what you're looking for. The big difference is that unlike the Ice Resin, the bubbles in this just don't go away. I gather you can use a small blowtorch to get rid of them - but if you're casting in a mold that can't take much heat, that means this resin is not going to serve your purposes.
It IS nice and clear and in a thin layer looks great - so seems great for that purpose - but don't make the same mistake as me and try to get a nice bubble free casting out of it!

Don’t listen to the monkeys. HERE’S HOW TO GET RID OF AIR BUBBLES.
Reviewed in Canada on 25 July 2019Verified Purchase
Im seeing so many bad reviews about air bubbles and how you can’t use this as a casting resin (thick and/or large layer). You absolutely CAN. I’ve been using this brand for years with absolutely no issues. These dummies have no idea how to use epoxy resin properly. Seriously, this brand is amazing, so just follow these tips:
You need to work with resin in a warm environment. Cold resin will cause air bubbles; it can help to leave your resin bottle in warm water for 10-20 minutes. When you’ve measured and combined your resin, you need to mix SLOWLY and deliberately. If it’s a large quantity, use a silicone spatula, or if it’s small, just use a wooden stick. NO ELECTRIC HAND MIXERS. If you stir too fast, you’ll get a ton of air bubbles. Reduce this by stirring slow for a longer period of time (for reference, 1 cup, I stir for 3-5 minutes). After pouring, walk away from your piece and come back in 10 minutes. By this point most of your bubbles should have risen to the top. Use a lighter (or a hand torch, which I use and works so much better) and pop them with even heat - just quickly skim over the top and don’t linger. If your art is in a silicone mold, it won’t melt or burn if you’re quick. Use a toothpick or wooden stick around the edges and intricate areas of your mold to pop any air bubbles that are stuck. Now, resin art isn’t just a pour-and-done deal. I see it as a babysitting process. I like to check on my work every 10 minutes over the next half hour for any more air bubbles that may have risen to the top, and if there are any, I go over them with the torch again. I’ve cast TABLES with this brand. Perfect results every time.
Now, if the resin is for some reason tacky and not setting: it’s not because of a bad batch. I’ve probably bought this brand into the 100s and have never gotten a “bad batch”. This stuff is the real deal, not crap you get off Wish. You can see this by the coloration - if it’s yellowed, it’s going bad. Even resin has a Best By date. While owning it, it doesn’t last forever - you should use it within a year or else it won’t cure properly. If it’s brand new and not curing, then you either didn’t mix it properly, had a contaminant in your mixing container, or didn’t measure the exact 1:1 ratio.
Anyway, it’s never the resin’s fault. It’s annoying to see people leaving bad reviews due to their own ignorance.
Hope this helps you to make pretty art.

Cheap resin to get into, not the easiest to work with.
Reviewed in Canada on 2 July 2019Verified Purchase
My wife purchased this resin to get into jewellery making on a budget and give it a try to see if she likes it.
Make sure to mix perfectly 50/50 else you are getting bendy (rubbery) pieces that will never set properly. Make sure to stir the recommended time else it will take forever to set or not ever set properly.
Air bubbles are very hard to get rid of, you can get most out spending alot of time on each piece, or better, get them out before pouring into your mold (if you can) if not, use a blow torch from far away to 'blow' away the surface bubbles.... if they don't go out with a couple far away blows, don't bother as you will set it on fire, creating a nasty film and ruining your art.
Good stuff to find out if this could be a hobby of yours, but maybe not the best if you want a professional piece.

I bought this to embed a crazy looking wasp my kids caught, and we did our first pour ever 3/4" thick. It set up beautifully in 24 hrs during a heat wave, and after a week we decided to do another thin layer to fully cover. We did a 1/8" thick pour, but used the same mixing cut and stir stick, and learned why you never do this. Had to consult the ArtResin website to find out how to scrape & sand the tacky layer off, but the end result was better than we could have hoped - it looked like the wasp was frozen in ice! Have done a few ice cube tray embeds since that turned out pretty good, and we'll try on the kids canvas paintings next. Having fun, and will buy again once we use this batch up.

Not easy to use, your work could be ruined.
Reviewed in Canada on 20 March 2019Verified Purchase
Yes followed instructions, but you never know if its going to set or just be sticky. If its sticky, they ask you to re apply, but no way. takes too long, and it could be because the batch was bad, so how does that saves your work from being ruined? I rather stay with the Gorilla epoxy, fast and no problems with the end result. I need it for coating some pendants, they are all ruined now.
