Its still hot, hot, hot, when you try to pour out the coffee, the rubber grip is not thick enough as compared to other brands.
When the lid is use, the coffee doesn't stay hot for very long. For example I made coffee at 6 am and put on the lid, and went to open it at 7:00 am and its not even lukewarm
The color is beautiful and it looks great in the kitchen.

For the good part: It does what it is advertised for. If you have good coffee and know or learn to use pour-over style coffee stuff, it makes wonderful coffee. The metal filters is suprisingly dense, meaning you don't need to grind your coffee too corse (still corser than paper filter still). It is elegant, easy to clean and fixe my personnal problem: cold coffee. The carafe holds the inside temperature well and, since it's directly part of coffee-making process, it is super convenient.
On to the bad part:
I will start with something it was never meant for: Paper filters. The shape of the neck and how conic filters are shaped doesn't fit well and you will create a seal while pouring water since there is no trench for air to escape. I put that out since few asked about this aspect and wanted to try it out. Again, with was not made for that. It comes with a metal filter and it does the job well. If you still wish to go paper, try to put it in the metal filter to hold the paper filter.
Now, one aspect I wish could be improved would be the spout. It is too shallow to make much of a difference while pouring coffee. It does help compared to simply pouring from the round edges but a deeper, more like a channel would improve this aspect by a large margin. This is a common problem on many other things like measuring cups but I still mention it.
Another part is how the conic glass sits on top of the carafe: the rubber at the bottom of the piece is quite thick and create a lip. that lip is not problematic in the beggining when there is pleny of coffee in the carafe but it become an annoyance once coffee is low because it creates a wall. You need to shake a bit the carafe (assuming you're still using the conic glass part) to pour the rest of the coffee. Not ideal, but not a deal-breaker. To remedy that, you can always pour directly from the carafe itself.
Speaking of pouring from the carafe;
Without the conic glass part (to pour the coffee), the carafe is smooth and large. I have big hands, which give me the option to hold the carafe by one hand from the bottom of it, but I doubt smaller hands could do it too. If I want to hold it by the walls, it requires me both hands and I recommand you do the same because if you drop it, you could burn yourself with the spiled coffee. To avoid that, you can use the conic glass part which has a secure handle in the middle for easy pouring.
Overall, I still recommand this product but beware of these small little factors.
