This is an amazing little machine! I bought the Dyson Animal 7 and it conked out after 3 months or so. Took it back and saw the Consumer Report rating on this Air Ram. For the price, this is really great value. Rates like the highest or second highest in its class. We've been using this for a month and man it's really great. I just vacuumed my carpeted stairs, entire basement carpets, bare floor kitchen, bare floor living room and bare floor foyer (about 20 minutes, 1000 sq ft.) All in total. It didn't lose one bit of its charge. The machine probably doesn't have the same draw (Suction power) that the Dyson models do, but the Air Ram is one third to one quarter the cost. The filter slides out completely for cleaning. It's simple, versatile and great value. Even if it dies in a year's times, which I hope it doesn't, it's much better value than Dyson equipment. Cleans every bit of dog hair and slightly struggles picking up larger debris like a dog kibble, but this sucker, (excuse the pun) is a pleasure to use. I highly recommend and would endorse anytime. I also own a Bissell carpet shampooer. Works fairly well too. Only rated 4 stars for durability since I've only used for a month.
It's a bit sad actually, as the vacuum is excellent. It does everything very well. However, I'm rating it a 2/5 because it won't even turn on now. One thing that should be noted is that the on-off switch is a foot pedal. Obviously, if you're designing the on-off switch to be operated by foot, it needs to be made sturdy enough to withstand more pressure than what would be used with a thumb operated switch. I would say we used the vacuum once or twice a week for 20-30 minutes at a time, and we always used what I would call "normal" amount of pressure to turn it on and off. It's possible that someone else may buy the machine and the switch would last longer under the same conditions. But it just sucks to be out $250. I'll be looking at a different brand for my next machine.

Bought this in 2017 and has been fully satisfied with its performance when used on area rugs. Light weight to carry up and down the stairs, easy to move around ,and the suction is decent. Recharging is no hassle. Use the brush even on the area rug .
The only thing I would change in this product is the dust bin. It is messy to dump the dirt in the garbage bin. Having a bag would be better.I use a disposable glove to do this. Use a brush to clean the round foam filter.
this is an excellent performing vacuum cleaner. it is a bit noisy on my hardwood floors because there is no switch to turn off the roller brush but that is okay because it has very good suction and the rollers lift maybe a dried pea or corn the kids left after dinner stuck on the hardwood floor heheheh I can see where some people may have a problem with the handle. it is not the robust of designs but once you understand how it works I have no problem with it i have bought an extra filter because it it wears out you cannot use the machine without it you need to empty the machine and wash the filter after several uses both jobs are very very easy to do I still have my canister mainly now for its attachments But for my floors and carpets on my 3 floors ...I LOVE IT it recharges easily after 30 minutes of use
I used this product for vacuuming. The first one I was shipped needed to be returned as it stopped working nearly immediately. The battery has died on the second one and I can't find where to find a replacement battery. Seems like a short time (less than 2 years) for a vacuum cleaner's life. I've had another cordless battery for over 5 years and it still works although it isn't as good on carpets as the bissell.
