I am a larger lady 38DD and for the longest time I wore underwire bras, then recently they started to dig into me everywhere all the time. I went down to 3 different stores and tried on soooo many bras is all different sizes. You know the videos everyone has telling you to do calculus to determine your band and cup size but when you go to the store you are still way off, thats what I did. Then I found this little gem I thought this looks too much like a sports bra to actually work...well I was wrong it did work. I came home and found that Amazon had this bra half the price of the department store. The only downsize is that it does not separate as well a lot of my regular bras did but it does not give you a uniboob either.
No more underwires for me. I have a large chest, but these give me plenty of support. And they are very comfy. My only complaint would be the inability to adjust straps. These are 48.00 at Kohls. I got 5 pair from Amazon, from 17.00 to about 25.00. I wear the extra large.
I bought this bra to wear around the house. However, it is so comfortable that I find myself wearing it pretty much all the time. I bought it in four different colors. It provides pretty decent lift and support for an underwire-free bra. My boobs look ALMOST as good as they do when I wear a bra with underwire. After all of the wire-free bras I have tried, I never thought I would find one that makes me feel AND look good...but I have! The only "issue" I have come across is that the bottom of the band tends to roll up. This is usually not uncomfortable unless I am in a certain position (lying down).
TIP: I tried these on at Kohl's to make sure I knew what size I was. Then I bought them on Amazon because they were MUCH cheaper (about half the price).
I'm an odd size, and it's been years since I had a comfortable bra! I've been wearing thin stretchy "camisole" bras, and they're not very flattering. I tried one of these on in a store and loved it, but they had no more in my size, so I ordered them online--at half the store price! These are very comfortable and give a nice, smooth silhouette under clothes. The band rolls up a little bit in front, but it's not uncomfortable. Really, I forget I have it on--it's every bit as comfortable as the camisoles and much more flattering. UPDATE: You can machine wash in cold water on the "hand wash" setting and dry on the lowest heat setting, but it's probably better to wash them by hand. I've machine washed and dried mine 3 times now, and I have to reshape them as the inner cup is pulling away from the outer shell. They can be reshaped (so far), but I can't imagine putting these through the rigors of laundromat machines or home machines on regular settings. They also attract all colors that bleed, even in the slightest. I now have 5 gray bras with some random fuchsia spots.
I'm a 42 D and bought the XL, the recommended size. Tight around the band and the straps slide off my shoulders. The cups fit fine and are nice and soft, not the band. I bought it for comfort around my ribs but I feel like the 2X would be too big in the cups. Just a poor fit for me. Bali is usually a good brand so I am disappointed.
The fit on this was a bit weird. The length of the straps are a bit long, the length of the band (around my back) is fine, but the cup size is smaller than expected. I was unsure of the sizing on these bras, so I went to a local department store to try on. I found the large to be a bit small, but the X-Large seemed to fit well. This sizing on this bra was definitely smaller in the cup size. Had these bras been on sale at the department store, I would have bought one there. I also bought the version without the "soft cup" through Amazon. That one fits as expected. While this is comfortable in the sense that there's no wire, it's uncomfortable because of the fit. I'm constantly having to make adjustments. It's ok for hanging around the house or low-key weekend stuff. But I can't wear it in a social or professional environment.
I actually first found this bra at BJs. I couldn't believe how comfortable it was and still supported and held my shape pretty well! I decided I wanted more before they discontinued so I bought two more from Amazon. (The result is not as sculpted as a regular underwire, but for around the house and community, it serves well. If I dress up for church, I will wear my other bra.)
I have bought these bras before at a retail store and LOVE THEM! Comfortable, soft, no seams, and nice color choices. True to size. Wash up nicely in cold wash and hang to dry! You can't go wrong with Bali!
