About the Author
Laura Lippman has lived in Baltimore most of her life and she would have spent even more time here if the editors of the Sun had agreed to hire her earlier. She attended public schools and has lived in several of the city's distinctive neighborhoods, including Dickeyville, Tuscany-Canterbury, Evergreen, and South Federal Hill.

and convinced that the Noir series is not only the best myhstery-thriller series out there, it
also does a great job of presenting the realities of the cities each book is about.
I have lived in the Philippines for 6 years, and in Baltimore for half a year as a feted folk-rock
star in the mid-70s (Kelly St. John band), and was amazed at how true the aspects of each city were
in their anthologies. I now intend to buy all of them! Wonderful job, Ms. Lippman, wonderful series!
