Yarn-Dyed
A yarn dyed fabric means that, the yarn was dyed into colours first, before it is woven together as a fabric. This is commonly used in stripe or check designs.

Embroidery
Embroidered quilt covers generally have the base fabric dyed, then intricate stitching on top in a decorative pattern. The stitching sits just on top of the fabric creating great texture.

Jacquard
A jacquard fabric usually has more pattern to it than yarn-dyed fabrics do. It has the ability to weave patterns or texture through the fabric as it is woven together.

Clipped Jacquard
A clipped jacquard starts like a regular jacquard, with the pattern woven through the fabric. Then some of the threads get cut, sheered off, which forms shapes and leaves a fine fringe.
