Bought this for my daughter's dorm room and sadly, realized after the return window, that it wouldn't fit her bunk. Her bed is one that is designed to be lofted and there are a bunch of metal slats that support the mattress and as such, does not offer the gaps needed to fit on the bunk.

It's a great concept and looks to be well made, but we realized too late that it wouldn't work for us.

Mechanism for connecting to twin dorm room bed should be more universal. This is the second one I purchased after the first was not compatible with my daughter's bed. The bed's frame is set and it's design cannot move; this shelf should be able to adjust to fit ANY dorm room bed.

So my first week using this thing and I am pleasantly surprised. Perfect fit and easy setup in less than 60 seconds. My laptop fits nicely on the platform and I tossed my ipad on there while reading on my kindle app and it was comfortable laying on my side swiping each page until I fell asleep. Now I don't worry about knocking my phone or ipad off the bed onto the floor, risking damage.

My only mistake was not getting another one for the GFs' side of the bed. I am waiting for the pink version!
