Employs a 2-way stretch knit Featuring a proprietary blend of polyester and silicone batting special-ordered from textile manufacturers, the resulting body pillow has a soft, squishy texture.
Reduces slippage between the pillow and pillowcase to the fullest extent possible, ensuring a snug fit.The special-order fabric used in this product features a unique stretch in both the warp and weft threads, providing a flexible texture and smooth touch.
Smooth texture allows for even anime pillowcases and other specialty cases made from urethane materials to be slipped on with ease. The ideal ratio of finest quality Japanese batting from Toray and Teijin has been used to maintain resilience and durability.

Very soft and authentic, the tag has the "Comodo" logo on it with "Made in Japan" on the other side. It puffed up very good, i'd allow a couple hours for it to puff up though so it can completely expand. Overall this is worth the money and much better than buying it from the us. (Any site that is us-based for dakimakuras are bootleg, i've done my research before buying a daki) The quality of a bootleg is vastly inferior to the real thing. So make sure you purchase a daki thats made in japan for the real thing.

Edit: I wouldn't buy if your planning to get a high-end dakimakura inner later on. You'll probably not end up using this after experiencing something as soft, smooth, and premium like the marshmallow kai EE.But If you just wanna get a good pillow to cuddle with at night then this should do just fine.

Update 7/30: One last thing, if you don't have a cover for your daki yet, I would suggest you buy from cuddlyoctopus or sakura palace. I got mine from sakura palace (high-end and more expensive)

The best you're gonna get without importing directly from Japan

I wish we lived in a world where we didn't have to spend close to $100 for a pillow core for our dakimakuras but we do. Everyone recommends the DHR6000 from amazon.jp and after proxy and shipping fees, it would easily cost over $200. I don't have the DHR6000 but I'm sure it would blow this pillow out of the water. But I'm not prepared to spend $200 on the core when I've already spent $100 for the dakimakura cover itself. This pillow meets a good middle ground. It's the proper size for the pillow covers(160cmx50cm) and that makes a big difference. You will be hard pressed to find another 160cm pillow for this price. The closest I've found is the cores being sold by Dakimakuri on their website for $100 but free shipping for that takes up to 45 days.

If you're willing to spend more, you can probably do better but these do just fine considering the ease of access and the price. The pillow cover doesn't shift so you don't have to rearrange it every night. The length and size fills out the cover just right to give it a very clean and smooth look. It is a bit thin but it's also bouncy so it doesn't seem it will go flat for some time. I wish it was a little firmer, it's pretty floppy and can't stand up on it's own, but it's perfectly fine lying down.

Overall I'm very satisfied for the price and ordering a few more for other covers.
For dakimakura purposes avoid the CMD9900LS model as that shifts the cover and is very hard to get the cover lined up properly. This CMD9000 is the one to get.

Have been looking for a pillow like this for a while. Looked around at options like the DHR6000 but the price after shipping from Japan was a bit too much. This pillow was usually the same case, so I was surprised to find it at basically the same price that it would go for without shipping. The seller and pillow were both completely unrated (and still are, aiming to change that with this review) so I was hesitant but figured I would take my chances since its fulfilled by Amazon. It arrived quickly and lo and behold, it was the legitimate CMD9000 (as far as I can tell from uploaded images) and the most comfortable pillow I'd ever used as a side-sleeper. Highly recommend to those either just looking for a pillow for side-sleeping or to put a case on and enjoy that way.

I had gotten a body pillow cover recently and I wanted to get a good quality pillow insert for it. Most cheaper body pillows I have come across seem to be a bit flat, firm, and floppy. I heard of this brand before from various websites and how these pillows are good quality, so I gave it a chance. I was so impressed by the pillow I got. It is very fluffy, so much so that it almost seems round and fills in the cover I got perfectly. It is very soft and I can literally sink my head into it. Just make sure you get the right measurments for your case and you are set! If you invest in this, I am sure you will be like me and never look at cheaper pillows the same way again!
