I bought this expecting the luxurious softness of Pima Cotton, but the shirt was actually stiff. Perhaps it had been starched or something, but it Hung stiffly from my body and the shoulders had little points. Though I admit that washing it might have made a difference, returning it seemed more prudent, especially since the label didn’t back up the claim of being Pima Cotton.
I usually wear a size 6 which is a small. I figured this would run small and it does. I ordered a medium and it barely fits through the shoulders so order a size up from your regular size. It is advertised as pima cotton but the label says only 92% cotton and 8% spandex. It feels like a lot of spandex so I hope it will be cool enough. On the plus side, it is pretty cute.
The color, cut AND the embossed logo on the back of the shirt... could be easily confused with those of a Lululemon shirt. But let me tell you, it surely does not feel like one, for the following reasons: 1) it does not breath as well. wear it on a hot and humid day and you will see what i mean 2) the fabric feels less soft against the skin. (feels like paper tissues, and not Charmin) Verdict: don't buy it. Go ahead and buy lululemon. Yeah, it costs more, but it is more comfortable and you deserve it.
So I returned this— the fabric is similar to the long-sleeve versions I already own, however the cut is completely different. It would be great (and I think profitable) if makers would consider increasing the sizes they offer. Looking at what clothing sizes sell out first, opportunities are being missed!
For reference, I’m 46 years old, 5’8” and wear a size L. I have had the best luck with the CRZ Yoga brand. I receive no incentive to type this. Just passing along something that works well for me. I read about them on a couponing site. They claim that they are great “dupes” of that very expensive citrus brand 😜. IDK about that, but the items that I have bought are flattering!!
Thin clingy synthetic feeling material when arrives but once washed feels like mostly fine cotton. Fits well, a little on the slimmer side in the body so great for not riding up during yoga. If you need to hide your muffin (like me) order a size up.
The fabric and fit of this shirt are nice, but the color is so different than what is shown, I was sure they sent the wrong color, but the label matches what is shown on the computer. It was supposed to be a deep burgundy and it is a light pink. The return process is also not easy - there is no in person return option at a local store, the label prints over three pages of paper that you need to piece together and you have to pay for returns which I am pretty much against when taking the risk of buying something online. I'll be returning it anyway.
