To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Not a sports bra, unless your sport is jousting in a suit of armor. I regularly wear Champion underwire sports bras, and this is by far the tightest and most heavily engineered: thickly padded wires, rigid cups, very tight band that sits low on the ribs. Also has widely spaced straps and a very low neck, which, together with those cleavage-enhancing rigid cups, makes it almost a push-up bra. Just the thing for the gym...not! However, it's a perfectly good daytime bra for anything with a low, wide neck or a plunging halter top.
This bra has solid under breast support and the band is very secure. The cups are comfortable as are the straps. The one thing is that it pushes up and the top gets a bit jiggly because the top is more open. The band in front under the cups doesn't ride or really move so that's nice. It is quite stiff and supportive all around but also doesn't shift much. It's great support but not really very flexible.
I saw in previous customer reviews that this bra runs small, I went ahead an ordered my regular size thinking it would just be snug or that I'd have to use the last row of hooks. I have at least one other Champion sports bra and don't have a problem with it. Unfortunately, I couldn't hook this bra without quite a struggle. Rather than return the bra, I went ahead and got a bra extender at my local fabric store and that works just fine. If I ordered another one of these, I would order a 38D rather than a 36D - the cup size is correct.
