Sizing can be tricky

I am 5’9, 36C size 14-16 pants. Udually wear a large or XL. I do NOT like tight fitting things but of course knew with this type of style it is needed. Based off of the reviews u ordered a 3XL. The laces were long enough HOWEVER as I got closer to the top of the back it was pointless to try to lace it up all the way. If I pull tight enough there would be a slight gap due to the flap not being long enough. I am considering a larger size however there is a awkward gap in the armpit that even when laced up tight it does not go away (both with and without a bra). The material seems honestly like a very thick cardboard so pushing this material to try and force myself for that curve I’m looking for I worry about it ripping. I planned on wearing mine all day at renaissance fair in Houston (with tons of humidity) SO I would NOT recommend due to it not being breathable and would not last, now for Halloween for a few hours I could see it’s possible. Shoulder do not fit how it's depicted

So the piece is cute and I love the color. The down side is that the shoulder do not sit where they are expected to sit. They are sewn on a weird angle so they sit at the sides of the shoulder not really holding anything up. The strings seem like they would just snap at any moment but so far they have been okay. If anything, I am more worried about the eyelets (where the string go) ripping off before the string gives out.

I initially purchased a 5xl, due to some comments and the sizing guide for this. After I got it however, it was too large. It fit me but it didn't give me the desired corset look I wanted. I'm normally between a L and XL in shirts, and this fit was perfect. I could tighten it in the back if needed, or open it up front as well. I could move around easily, but the straps did want to fall alot. They were just a tad loose compared to the rest of the corset even tied up all the way. Didn't really bother me much though, they could have been up or down with my outfit choice

First off let me just say wow. Opening the package was a delight. At first I thought the item was brown, but once out of the bag the beautiful greens could be seen.
It was very well packaged and the quality was far better than expected from China. As I have a long torso I am normally worried clothes will be too short in the waist, but this actually sits correctly.
When I tried it on I went to untie the top shoulder straps and adjust them, but quickly found out that they are not adjustable as thought. So, I put the top on without the shoulder straps on. Once In it I tried the straps and found they were about an inch to short, but I am a seamstress and can easily rectify that situation with the generous extra triangle patch of material they send with the item.
The boning is plastic type. It is fine for the front, but quickly started digging in to my back as it over bowed in 2 spots. I will be pulling out that boning and replacing it with steal or bamboo boning.
Overall for a product of China I was very happy with my product. Of you live in the US and are thinking of purchase, just remember to order 2 to 3 sizes up. I went 3 sizes up due to large breast and very little adjustments will need to be done.

I loved that this adjusted in the back and zipped in the front. I'm an XL and the 3x was perfect. Gave me a little openness in the front to show the blouse. The boning was stiff enough to give me some support. I danced for three days in it and won a costume contest. To keep the straps from falling I tied a string around the back and under the straps which didn't show under my wig.

Don't listen to the true to size claim. I ordered a 3X even though I thought I would only need a 2X and it was still about two sizes too small for me. The straps are also too short, and the zipper goes up to the middle of my bust. I am livid, I ordered this for an event that is in 3 days and I can't order another one in time. The fabric is also generally low quality.
