Normally, when I buy tops these days, I can get away with a large. So, to be safe, I bought an XL. Did NOT fit in any way. The lacing in the back felt like it was going to BREAK because I was treating this costume corset as the real thing. The lace is quite fragile, so BE CAREFUL!!

I returned it and got a size 5XL and a 6XL to see which one would fit. The 6XL was JUST too big, so I went with the 5XL.

The boning is okay and the lacing is definitely weak (it was better when I got the size that fit me). If you don't trust it, replace it with some ribbon. I still plan to wear shapewear under it to smooth out my tummy.

I bought this as part of my Viking costume for Halloween and ordered an XXL (read previous reviews) as I'm a size 10-12 and typically wear a med to large in "real clothes". I struggled into it, but apparently my body is just not made for a corset. How did those Viking women do it?? It felt like I was being swallowed by a python. It's super cute and really well made, but as others have mentioned the straps are stiff and weird and won't stay in place so that would take some alteration even if I could fit in it. The olive green color is beautiful. I really wish it would have worked, but even when the strings were loosened it was way too tight. I would say this would be a better fit for someone who is a small med frame.
Alas, will be returning.

4 stars because the measurements listed are painfully accurate. Don’t expect stretch or wiggle room. Don’t listen to the one positive plus-sized review like I did. I’m glad it worked for them but something has changed or they were using a different product because this absolutely does not fit plus-sized customers (I’m the same size as that reviewer, or at least I thought I was, and I bought a 6x - even larger than what they bought). I’m a 22/3X normally.

Corset is not laced in a manner to make it easy to put on alone. You have to totally loosen the back and unlace and unzip the front. Put it on. Zip it up and then relace the front before struggling to lace up the back. Corset makers really need the double laces that tie in the middle so ladies can do this easier alone. Laces seem sturdy cord and not ribbons and fabric seems nice - shoulders keep falling down but this style always does on me

Worked perfectly for my wood elf DnD costume. True steel bones, and the zipper makes it convenient to take on and off without adjusting the back, as well as using the bathroom without fully removing it if you've got high tights on like I did.

Reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the cord used to string it up, however incredibly strong, is super slippery and doesn't stay tied very well even double knotted - although this could easily be fixed with your own. The other issue I had was the shoulder straps tended to slip down because they're a bit too wide set. This could just be a body type/posture issue though.

It arrived today. I followed to size chart and would highly recommend going 1 size larger if you have a smaller waist then large below that. I have a plus size extremely hour glass figure. Zipping it up was brutal, lacing the top was easy. The modesty panel in the back was perfect. It is fantastic quality. I was very held in, there is no bending at the waist with this on lol. Have a wonderful pushup effect to my chest. I'm not happy with the shoulder straps, they are not adjustable and much to long for me. I'll be needing to find a way to sow that to a better length without interfering with the integrity of the corset. With the exception of the straps and had I gotten a size up this would be perfect.

Sizes are too limited

Got this for easy access when taking potty breaks at Faire. I just had back surgery in may. But It didn't help, even with the flexible steel boning. It's design is too long for people with a short torso. Even with the zipper. You have to fight to get to your waistband, and then you can't zip it up without major pulling. Items like this need to be long in the front and back...NOT all the way around down to the hip. It's a beautiful vest, but colors and sizes are too limited, or not available. Like everyone else stated; I had to move the shoulder straps way in because they keep falling. Tweak this design and you will have a winner!

Corset is surprisingly well-made. It fit nicely, I wish I could have tightened it more to have it snug around my midsection but since I am so tiny it was already as tight as we could tie it.
I am normally a 32B/C and XS/S size 0/3. I ordered a Small and it fit great in the bust but as I stated before was slightly loose in the midsection, would be perfect for someone 32B/C and S/M size 3/5.

Corset was comfortable to wear for 8+ hours at work. Material is durable and has lasted 5 bar shifts so far without any problems.

Only thing I would recommend if purchasing, change out the ribbons/laces. The ones that it comes with literally look like black shoe laces.
Overall great product, I would definiteley purchase again if they offered a smaller size or I gain some weight!

I’m 5ft 5, about 140 lb. Large just barely works...it fits SMALL but not sure how the shoulder straps would fit if I ordered any larger. It’s a disproportionate fit, but probably can be altered to fit better. Does the job for my costume, but a little on the tight side. I usually fit S-M and ordered a Large. I was afraid to order XL that it would be too big. Not sure how the XL would fit in comparison, but I’m guessing it would probably be WAY more comfortable! However, don’t want to chance the corset to fit too big, so I’m keeping it. The zipper is nice, laces could be sturdier, and fabric seems pretty good for the price. Looks flattering on, so gave 4 stars. Hope this helps someone, because the sizing was tricky. Good luck!

I am a 45 bust, 42 waist, and 50 hips. After reading reviews on sizing I was certain 6x was the size for me. The bodice fits nicely, but I don’t have the breast to fill the top section, even when tightened up. I wear a 40 C bra. I think I will return this and try a 5X because I can always let out the corset on the bodice if I need to, but I’d like to be able to lift my girls if possibe! ~the material is very nice, and everything seems well-made. I ordered the light brown option, and it’s very cute!
