I have bought several Chesapeake Bay Candle Scented Candles this time in a variety of scents. This time I got a Stillness + Purity (Rose Water), Large and was really not impressed by it's scent it was a off smell of rose not relaxing at all and I like all the other scents by this same brand I have tried. This one just smelled like fake sort of rose with a huge linger of power or something which did not blend well at all with rose. It smells not to be rude but like a cheap overpowering powdery perfume someone really old would wear. I would return it but tried it and lit it and not it's junk- I cannot stand it another moment. I do recommend other scents including the thyme lavender, lily pear, or even tobacco scented versions of Chesapeake bay soy candles (they are long lasting burn clean and look quite good overall) they all didn't disappoint but this was one a huge miss for me. I would skip the rose.
I like scented candles that I can actually smell and that leave a room smelling of their scent even after the wick is extinguished. This product meets my criteria for a good scented candle. The "refresh and rejuvenate" name is pure marketing. You are more likely to be "refreshed and rejuvenated" by sticking your nose into a sliced lemon, but the medium strength citrus smell is fresh and pleasant. Not too fruity. It provides me with a nice change of pace from my stronger more masculine scented candles.
Love this line of candle and the mind/body integration. I THINK they are associated with Yankee Candle...not sure. Yankee Candle definitely wins in terms of burn time and scent strength. The reflection + clarity is an amazing scent, but its very subtle once lit, and there's no way this lasts 20 hours. Maybe 10. So its appropriately priced for what you get ($14.99). If they amped up the scent to fill a room and increased burn time this would be one of the all time best.
The grapefruit mango scent is too much for my 440 sqft studio. If I burn it for too long, the air is hard to breathe because it's so heavily perfumed. It smells good, but I don't want to taste it. The other two I got (Mediterranean citrus and white lily pear) were perfect and light. This one is not. I would only recommend if you have a large open space with circulating air/good ventilation.
What is not to love about candles? This one smells nice, lasts a while and has a good price. There is nothing spectacular about it other than getting home without having to waste time at retail stores.
Really nice packaging, glass & wooden top, burn time and scent when you immediately open but that beautiful scent is short lived. Overall the price and product is a really good value and I would buy again.
