In my ongoing surge toward organization (see The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo, available on Amazon) I ordered 15 of these babies. Between my husband and me, we have about 600 CDs, many of them in storage because we've had nowhere to put them (having combined our households 10 years ago). I've toyed with the idea of getting a custom-made floor-to-ceiling tower, but it dawned on me a few days ago that we have a deep, floor-to-ceiling bookcase filled with many books that will never be read or reread and could be donated, moved to bookshelves in another room, or, in the case of the rare ones, sold on eBay. The CDs, though, will be played, as soon as we clear space for them. So I checked Amazon for CD holders and, voila! These are perfect dimensions, they'll fit two deep and three across on the bookcase shelves.

I do want to note that if you're measuring with the idea of placing them two or more deep on a shelf, the CDs protrude an additional inch; I saw this when I viewed the magnified version and realized I had clearance, but it might not be immediately apparent if you're just looking at the printed dimensions.

When they arrived they were exactly as pictured and described. There are two slots in each of them for the 2- and 3-CD sets.

This is such a great holder. I needed it for hubby's CDs as my collection had taken over everything else in the house. It is very thick and sturdy material and crystal clear. The CDs fit very nicely in the case and there are a couple of spaces for the "double album" CDs.

It was broken across in the top in shipping (Amazon) but I was able to glue it back together without trouble (yeah Gorilla Glue). When the seller learned of this, he was quite dismayed and wanted to refund my money (he is really a terrific guy!); however I asked him not to refund, as the case was fine and doing well. Amazon, however, did refund my money when they learned of it. I never turned in a claim or anything, because for me, the case was serviceable as it was. So kudos to both Amazon and Hugh (US Acrylic, LLC) because they care about their customers.

These are very simple, but very effective. They hold a lot of CDs and are stackable. I like that they are clear, make the storage look neat and tidy. I bought 3 so I could get rid of my old brown storage cabinet, but I might get several more just so my storage all looks the same. I still have some CDs in an older storage unit with the clear plastic ones on top of it (photo attached). I definitely prefer the new plastic ones. Everything arrived well packaged. Nothing was broken.
