I have two other Colorado skorts in XL that l LOVE but can no longer wear as l lost a lot of weight, so l ordered a L. I am currently wearing petite mediums, or size Petite 8 in jeans, tops & dresses, down from petite XL or petite 14-16 jeans, tops, and dresses, so l nearly ordered a medium. I was really shocked! This large is ridiculously small compared to any other manufacturer’s clothing l own. I love the print, these are great when they fit, and l may try to reorder it in XL, but the L was SO tight, l am not sure even that will fit. Disappointing. I am now trying to take in my XL Colorado skorts, but it’s a good couple inches too large so not sure this will work. The company has definitely changed their sizing in the last year, or the one l got was labeled incorrectly and was maybe an XS or S?
After buying a couple of these at Costco 2 years ago, I went in search of more this summer. I now own every color. They are my go to summer essential, and I wear them for almost all occasions, for the following reasons: 1. I’ve had 2 c-sections and these are the only bottoms I’ve found with the right amount of stretch and compression in the right places. 2. They are extremely flattering for someone who is a bit short and round (5 foot 2, size 12-14). 3. I can keep up with my kids in them without mooning everyone else. 4. They *don’t ride up*. 5. I can dress them up with a cute top, or I can mow the grass in them with a t-shirt. 6. The colors are bright; not frumpy or boring. 7. They wash incredibly well without losing their shape or color. 8. My husband and friends have called them my “power skorts.” All to say these are my favorite articles of clothing and I’m very grateful they exist!
I have about 10 of these in all different colors - some solid, some patterned. It's what I primarily wear when I go anywhere. Shopping, parties, going out to dinner, walks on the beach, they're appropriate for all of it. And they're so comfortable. They also provide better coverage than shorts, because the skirt is a few inches longer, which is a plus for me. Yet they're still mini-skirts that are great for the FL weather. They can be worn casual or dressed up. These also pack really nicely and don't wrinkle. My absolute favorite clothing article.
Ok. I hate shorts, I think I look like an idiot in them and they ride up, etc etc. I bought this skort for the hell of it this summer when it hits 95 degrees and I couldn't deal with even the thinnest leggings or hippie skirts anymore. And I loved it so much that I ordered 2 more! My legs are not my best asset but this skort comes down just far enough to hide the yuck while still being fun and cute. I've worn it walking my dog, hiking, bar hopping, shopping, sleeping, you name it and I always feel like I look nice and put together in a casual not-trying way. I would sort of like if it had pockets but if it did I'd probably think they made my butt look big. The other thing to know is that you can probably go down a size, especially if you're not 100 like me and/or like to show off your legs/butt. In that case, enjoy!!
LOVE-I ordered this color and a different one and get compliments on both. I just wish these had pockets. I ordered these instead of Athleta because they're SO expensive, but one thing I miss about my Athleta gear is the pocket...please add one.
I purchased the same brand of skort from Costco last year and when my sister-in law was visiting me I lent it to her to wear. The skort fit her perfectly so I looked on amazon to purchase one for her. When it arrived it fit her perfectly, I'd say the large is good for size 10-12. I loved the pattern so much I ended up ordering a second one for myself. Colorado clothing makes a great skort with nice dark shorts underneath.
More, more, more is what this gal says! I'll continue to add to those I have ~ so Colorado Clothing, please give us more skirt colors & patterns! These skorts have the inner shorts which are not too tight, not too loose. The material is soft, and skorts super well made. A few I've worn now 6 months or so, many washings, and hot dryers later and they are troopers. I am 5'8" med build and enjoy the bit lower length, on the thigh, and all around fit. Flattering skirt with just enough A-line fall not to hug the fanny, (my preference for look) .
I'm older and don't find shorts very flattering on my body type. However, I find wearing a skorts flattering and it allows for plenty ventilation during the hot Summer days. The fabric is a good thickness so there is no underwear lines showing through as you might have when wearing shorts. I've worn these for a few years. The manufacturer seems to introduce different fabric choices each year.
Costco use to carry this skort every spring, so I was disappointed when they didn't have the Colorado Clothing this year. I just happened upon them at Amazon, and I could order every color! These skort's can be dressed up with a nice blouse and heals! After a year they become my pajamas because they are so comfortable and fit so well. I also pick a nice tank with a black skort and that is my bathing suit. Love these skort's !! I will tell you that I am 5'6 a size 12 at 175 lbs and I order a size Medium. They are perfect !!
