This is a great set of markers. So many colors to chose from. Comes in a carry case and is arranged by color. Nice soft brush tips make good coloring.

I got this water color brush pens for coloring my artworks.
They work pretty well. The first coat is light but if you want a darker color, you can keep giving second and third coat to your project. The color dries up quickly many in a minute or two. It does not create smudges on the back of the paper unlike some other paint brush pens. There are so many shades to each color from lighter to darker to give a nice shading to your artwork. The other side has a thin tip which is good for calligraphy. The quality of these pens is good and might last for a long time.

60 Colours Watercolor Dual Brush pens by Hohuhu comes in a thick plastic case with 2 snap buttons on the front and a handle on the top. It opens envelope style to reveal 3 trays of markers. There are no safety warnings, no indication that this set is ASTM D-4236 compliant, therefore I cannot recommend these for use by children. For this reason alone, I cannot rate this product at 5-stars.

I do not believe these markers are water-based. They behave more like alcohol ink, but do not have an odor. It will take more testing on my part than I care to do immediately to determine this for certain. They behave like alcohol based markers, the dry time is minimal as is the bleeding/blooming. The dual tips are the biggest highlight of this set. This makes them nice for outlines or for filling in spaces. Multiple layers will get a more saturated color. The brush tip is interesting. This is my first encounter with 'brush' tipped markers. Only the last 2mm of length behaves like a brush, but the effect does look the shape of brush strokes. It's a novel and interesting concept that I enjoyed. I found the handles especially easy for me to hold.

The variety of colors are nice. They are arranged in a sensible order, but there is no color chart. Other than the color of the dyed plastic handle, the colors are not differentiated in any way, not by numbers or names. This leaves the user to make their own swatches from scratch to use for reference, and to keep the order of the markers precise, or number them yourself. I don't care for this, but it is what it is. Each marker preformed well, they are ready for use from the package. I find the colors to be very vibrant, although some are very, very close to each other.

Overall, I find this set to be a fair value. I do find the price to be very economical for the amount and variety included in the set. I would recommend this set to adults only, low-level students and hobbyists. I do not recommend these for children, upper-level students or obviously, professional artists. I'm overall happy with this set, and will continue to use them as they last. I hope you found my review Helpful, and will kindly click the button below.

more india ink than watercolor- not water soluble

I like these markers a lot- however I question the whole "water based, water soluble" thing. To me, they behave more like India ink than anything I'd normally associate with "watercolor". They do not blend out, either with one another OR with water. On VERY highly sized paper, or coated papers, they do blend with a bit of water- beautifully. But on anything like mixed media paper, lightweight marker paper, even cellulose watercolor paper, once you put the color down, it's down for good.

One GOOD aspect of this is that these are the kind of markers that will pop up through gesso, and I love that "ghostly" affect when I do layered paintings. I like that they don't move for that- you can draw some precise work and do a little coloring, cover the whole thing with gesso, and the colors will gently glow through without becoming a blurred mess.

And also, unlike some of the reviewers, I liked the feel of these pens. I liked the way they felt in my hand, I loved the colored barrels, and the brush nibs were very firm and I loved the way they felt on paper. I hate mushy nibs- I have a heavy hand, so these markers were very very fun to use.

I do wish I had these exact markers, in these exact colors, in a more water soluble ink for watercolor style work on watercolor paper.
