amazing jacket i don't really care for plaid and you'll definitely want to wear a tuque otherwise amazing quality Columbia should just make all the clothes all over the world i've never heard of a crappy Columbia item
I have the same one different color, who as 10 years now and this one look like a cheap copy, It looks like my Pakistan NorthFace copy and it feels like it when it's cold out, this coat is a Spring and fall Not a Winter coat!!! I guess if you want a winter coat you need to pay 400$
Well made, large in the shoulders, long so covers the butt, only wish it had a 2 way zipper and more pockets on the exterior coat part other then that it is doing good in Canada's North! Very Happy with it.
At first when it arrived I had thought perhaps it was too light weight. But knowing Columbia's reputation and technological advantages, I hoped that it would be okay. My son is already wearing it and says the whole thing is toasty warm and a good fit. What more could I ask for?
I'm glad I found this in a tall. There's a typo in the title of the item, but it's legit and sold directly through Columbia. This was the cheapest price I could find.
I did EXTENSIVE research before I settled on this Jacket. It was between this and the North Face Carto Triclimate. I decided on the Bugaboo because it felt more comfortable to me and has much better water proofing. It's also cheaper... Great jacket. I recommend going to Dick's Sporting Goods or a local outdoor shop to try on these jackets to get the perfect fit. Just grab this or the North Face Carto Triclimate depending on which feels more comfortable to you personally.
First off, I don't consider this a "Jacket". I'm very much surprised that some of the reviews stating that the "COAT" is too light and thin. I Highly Disagree! Last year I purchased a Columbia rain "Jacket" or wind breaker. Great for rain showers, but has no warmth. I was afraid of two things: 1). The coat would be just like my rain/wind breaker but with a internal Liner. 2). I've purchased two other coats/jackets from Amazon in the past and both I had to send back because the mfg was using toddlers to size their coats. Meaning my jackets were over 2 sizes smaller than they should be. 1). Wow was I wrong and my opinion this "COAT" is Definitely NOT a thin wind breaker as stated in the negative reviews. The material is medium thickness and Warm, without the inner Liner! I was Happily surprised. 2). I'm a big guy and the size I ordered was 4X (yes that big!). It fit Perfectly!! The liner is very warm and easy to attached and detach in the jacket. Pockets are fine and large. I also like the hood which can be folded into the collar. I had a coat with a big hood which was a problem in a car. The head rest and hood was uncomfortable. Not with this one. Only Negative comment is that I agree with some of the reviews stating that the liner is longer than the coats sleeves. Which to me I just push under the sleeve, not a big deal. It's worth the cost I paid and I Highly Recommend it.
This is the 3rd Columbia Bugaboo Interchange Jacket I have owned over the past 30 years. Bottomline up front: Yes, the sleeves of the inner jacket are much longer than the outer jacket which looks really goofy and is impractical in wet weather. I played with the sleeves a bit, so if you tighten the outer jacket sleeves using the velco you can tuck the excessive inner jacket sleeves in, but this is a really poor design and I'm really disappointed in Columbia. Additionally, if the inner jacket had cuffed sleeves around the wrist area like previous Bugaboo versions' ithe sleeve length difference would be less of an issue. Finally, the inner jacket is really thin compared to previous versions. The inner jacket in the older versions could be worn in cold weather, but this inner jacket is very light and does not provide much warmth and once again since the sleeves are not cuffed at the wrist the jacket is only good in cool weather. I've decided to keep the jacket because I got a really good deal on it and I can make the sleeve issue work, but I would not recommend that you buy this jacket, Columbia needs to fix this issue ASAP.
Owned one of these about 10 years ago and today's model is just not the same. Old one had a sturdier zipper, the hood went in the collar, there was a CD player waterproof pocket in the shell, and there was a button up piece of elastic in the bottom of the shell to keep out the draft. However, even with all these things I dislike, change happens and its still a damn fine coat. Water and windproof while very warm. Perfect for the Puget Sound area where we have 3 seasons in a day. For the record, im in no way, shape, or form putting this jacket down, as its an amazing piece of equipment. Im just venting my disappointments. In the hope the next version will have these things back in place. Overall, this jacket is worth every penny, and with good care will last 7-15 years.
