I wear size 10 or 12 so was unsure if I should order medium or large. I decided on large and I'm glad I did. I weigh 142 lbs and am 5' 3" tall. Jacket is a little loose in sleeves and across chest but fits well around hips. I will be able to wear it with heavy clothes when needed. I like the velcro flap that hides the zipper. I like the way the contrasting grey color cuts in at the waistline as it blends with the white. Hopefully it keeps me dry while out in the rain with my dogs.
Great coat that is actually waterproof, not just water resistant. Bought this for hiking trips in the future but this stood up to a walk in the pouring rain yesterday so it's good. It's definitely a thinner coat though -- I wore this to a football game in the pouring rain and wind and I felt the draft through the coat so be sure to layer if it's cold out (but hopefully this means it is breathable for summer months). Overall great product and fits as expected; I bought a size L, have a long torso and a larger bust and it fits great. Has adjustable cuffs and hood.
This is a great jacket. I’m debating about exchanging for extra large. I’m between sizes. A large will fit but can’t wear sweater etc under it. Extra large is sloppy. Trying to decide. I got the white so probably wouldn’t be layering in summer.
This is an average light weight rain jacket, but I bought a large and it barely fits me and I normally wear a small-medium. I am very surprised because Columbia normally has good quality clothing. Things made in China especially often end up needing to be ordered 2 sizes larger. I will keep it since was buying a couple of rain jackets for future guests to use but now my imminent guests will be out of luck.
I got this jacket very on sale, so it was overall an excellent value. However, the insides of the sleeves are lined with a sort of mesh, not a nice slippery material like most other jackets I’ve had, which makes it tricky to get on, especially over a fleece or anything fuzzy/sticky. Given the price though (I got mine for $20) it definitely serves it’s purpose, keeping me nice and dry walking to and from the bus!
I love this jacket, it's thin so I'm able to roll it up into its own pocket, use the bottom draw string to wrap around for storage, it hasn't let me get wet yet, even in Seattle rains, buy it one size bigger than your regular size so you can add a warmer layer inside, I love the nice soft fleece jackets under this one! Pretty durable so far, I do prefer jackets that cover my butt but can't be too picky when the rest of you is dry!
I bought this for my fiance and our trip to Italy. We had to try it out first though and it works like a charm. She's 5-9 and 160 lbs and a large fit perfect. It's big enough to wear a fleece under with extra room in case it gets cold and rainy. Great product and would buy again.
It really seems waterproof- not just resistant which has been an issue with other jackets from manufacturers claiming otherwise. The white is attractive. Overall, it’s a good fit. It does make a crinkle sound as mentioned by others, but dry is more important to me.
Good choice for a warm weather raincoat. I picked this up for my wife after liking the mens version and she's been happy with it. Does a good job of keeping you dry without burning up. We've worn them hiking while out shopping quite a bit, no complaints.
I'm a pre dawn bicycle commuter in the Pacific NW. Within a week of it's arrival I needed it, as promised it is water proof...not as most - which are merely water repellent... I purchased white for visibility / safety. The fit is just right, can wear a layer or 2 underneath, I like the velcro closures at wrists and flap covering the zipper. The fit is flattering but functional for athletic use. It's design is breathable... the physical exertion I engage when wearing it did not make me feel clammy or sauna like...just able to get to work with my slacks and lunch / coffee thermos in my messenger bag... change clothes, have coffee and earn my living - my above the waist clothes dry and presentable. Not to mention I feel look nice while commuting by bicycle and distance covering express bus. I had it in my shopping cart, I was swayed into purchase by an Amazon logarithm price reduction...scored a nice, quality item at a great price.
