Haven't yet worn this out, but so far, so good. I've needed a rain jacket for a long time. Based on the reviews I ordered a medium, which is what I normally wear in tops, and it fits well. It is fairly loose with plenty of room to wear a jacket underneath if necessary, but not so big that I feel I am swimming in it. The waist curves in a tad for a slightly more feminine look. If you do want a more figure skimming look, you might want to size down. However, I have bigger hips and I think a small would have been too tight around the bottom for me, so if you have the same body type (small waist/big hips), keep that in mind.
I bought this before a recent trip to Ireland, mainly because I needed something fast and easy to pack. It is a basic black windbreaker/rain jacket. It's not especially stylish, but I was not expecting much from it, style-wise. Its major selling point for me was the fact that the entire jacket can be folded/zipped into one of its pockets. This made it very easy to travel with, and I did wear it several times during the trip. The hood gave me some issues in the wind, but there are adjustable cords that allow you to tighten/loosen it, which helped. I wish it was a bit longer, because I found that many of my shirts/sweaters hung lower than the bottom of the jacket and got wet while walking in the rain. But, all in all, it served its purpose!
I like the jacket a a lot. I usually wear a medium or small, but the medium of this jacket was decidedly snug at the hip with a sweatshirt underneath. So I bought a Large. As a result, it is roomy, a bit on the long side, coming to about upper thigh length. Sleeves are at least 5 inches too long, but no problem to fold them over. I may even get them shortened by a tailor. The hood is generous and there is a bit of overhang to keep rain off your face. Pocket interior is a mesh fabric, which is ok, but it could get caught on something like keys. Overall, I am very happy with the jacket.
Overall, I like this rain jacket. I got mine in black, and the color is just as expected. The waterproof quality is also a nice step up from my old, water "resistant" rain coat, so I love that this one keeps me much drier. There is velcro you can snap closed over the zipper to keep water from leaking in that way - or, if it's just a light rain, I just don't even fool with the zipper and just velcro it when I'm in a rush. I love this feature. There's also velcro around the wrist to be adjusted to keep water out of your sleeves. The one con is the size. It fits me great everywhere but right at the bottom. When using the zipper, it's a little snug in my hip area. It wasn't bad enough that I needed to return it, but if you have wide hips, it may be too snug for you. Just be aware of this. Everywhere else, though, the fit is fine. Overall, for the price and quality I do like the jacket, so I'm pleased with the purchase.
My old Gore-Tex jacket finally went kaput much to my dismay. I usually wear a large shirt, but I got the extra large jacket and I'm glad I did. It fits without any pulling when I sit down in the car when it's fully zipped. There is alot of extra room if I need to wear a fleece jacket underneath. It's not as warm as my old jacket though and I don't like the crinkly plastic sound.
I'm 5'3 and around 130 lbs..I ordered a small since that's what all my other jackets are and it fits more like a medium to me. It is a looser fit than what I expected but still a great quality rain jacket. It's also very lightweight.
I bought this over a year ago to replace my old lightweight jacket (wearing college apparel after graduating is kind of sad) and it does the trick. My biggest complaint is that this material is very noisy and makes crinkly noises when I move, but on the plus side it has a hood.
As for stats, I'm 5'3" and around 110lbs with a slim build and the XS fits just fine. That said, I don't layer (get too hot too easily with layers) so you may want to size up if you plan to wear this over something bulkier than a t-shirt.
Great! Keeps rain out, but has no ventilation or armpit zippers and xan overheat. Inside is mesh. I ran the jacket through my faucet and heavy rain. An essential for a rainy city. Looks great! Despite the logo being pressed on rather than sewn, the jacket is authentic.
I really like this jacket and purchased a size up to accommodate a light sweater etc. under the jacket based upon others reviews. Unfortunately, for me a size up for this purpose was too large. I am 5'5" and usually a medium, I purchased the large. I would return however, I wore the jacket on a short vacation. When able I will purchase again, but get the medium size.
This jacket is actually pretty nice, but it's not perfect. This jacket mostly looks good closed due to the velcro lining the zippers. In addition, if you're not using to wearing nyon material, it may be a tad bit noisy for you. However, this jacket does has its good points! There's mesh lining on the inside of the jacket, and that includes its pockets. The pockets have zippers, adding security and they're really big! You can also make the parts around the arms, neck and hips tighter if you prefer to do so. Will write on update review once tested in SoCal rain :)
