I'm not a fan of pants with an elastic waste because they don't look or feel good on my body type, but I wanted something stylish to wear in the sun and not worry about getting sunburned, so I decided to try these pants. I was pleasantly surprised that these pants look flattering and feel comfortable, are loose and roomy without making me look bigger, which is VERY important to me. They don't blouse out to make me look heavier - they look neat and properly fitted. I thought they would come to a little above my ankle, but they are long on me - I'll need to hem them an inch or two. I'm only 5'4", so on a longer-legged person, they're be a bit shorter. Better too long than too short, right? I haven't tried them outside yet, but the fabric is thin (kind of like parachute fabric) and seems like will be very comfortable in hot weather.
