Pretty, but not practical

They are nice and pretty, no problems with shipping either, but they are too thin.

I placed one of them on my book shelf, next to some of my bigger books, and it looked like it was going to fall over, so I quickly moved it.

The book you see in the second picture is less than 1 cm thick.

I finally figured out that if I moved the bookend near the back of the book, it kinda works.

Would request a refund, but I don't want to go through the hassle of boxing them back up, only to run the risk of them chipping during during the return process and getting more headaches.

Pretty, but...

These are really pretty, but a small chunk of the stone literally fell out of the polished middle after unboxing it, and now looks bad. I know it's natural and sometimes there's flaws in the stone, and that's ok. But this chunk fell out of the smooth surface and mars the beauty, rather than being part of the stone's natural beauty. Also, it's much smaller than I expected, so the pair can only hold up a few small books.

I was really disappointed in the quality and craftsmanship of these agate bookends. There is no artisan quality to the craftsmanship of these bookends. They are simply assembly line cut, polish, dip dye, and packaged rocks. Furthermore, the description shows a wedge shaped rock you get a flat cut rock.

I chose 2 pair of natural agate bookends based on the variance in shades and colors pictured. One set was solid crystal all the way through with no or very little variance in color or shade. The other set had some very little variance. Perhaps I should have chosen the dyed sets, but many reviews stated that color rubbed off.
I understand that the pictured item was not going to be exactly what I received but I don't feel that the rocks I received were agates either.
A simple case of see and try before buy.
The weight and polish on the bookends was as described.

Lightweight book ends?

I was hoping these book ends could hold up some books or magazines on a table top. We ordered the 4-6 lb set, and each book end measures just over 2 lbs with a food scale. Looking more closely at the product images, I now realize these are decorative and work best for max 5 magazines OR books that already stand up on their own. I’ll keep them because they’re pretty, but functionally not appropriate for what I was hoping.

One of the book ends looks really nice. The other is a flat and about half the size and the patterns and colors are muted and fewer than the other. Basically one is really pretty the other one is ugly. They don't match. Some quality control is needed here.

I don't dislike the product I received, it was just a fancy from the stunning agate depicted in the ad. The price was fair, so I have kept them, but you should be aware you are likely not getting the beautiful kind of agate in the photo.

I bought this set of "bookends" for a few books on my desk. I know these books are heavier and so I purchased the heavier option. But upon receiving my items, I found that the size of them are underwhelming. They are much smaller than what the picture made them look out to be and they don't work as book ends. There's no rubber feet on the bottom like advertised, plus if you handle them more than a second your hands turn blue from the dye. Not happy with the purchase and will be looking for better bookends. DO NOT BUY FOR BOOKENDS. They look nice but they don't do the job!
