I'm around 5'7" and 126lbs and I usually try to get a 3 and if not I go with a 4 (as size 2 is too small). When I got these, they were bigger than expected and didn't fit at all when I tried them on(felt like it was a size bigger than advertised). However, I really needed them for work, so I washed them and when they came out of the dryer they shrunk and fit me perfectly! I realize that shrinkage isn't good for majority of people, however, if you're like me, between sizes and the smaller one doesn't fit, the shrink really helped out. (Note: I did throw them in the dryer at the hottest setting to hoping that it would shrink. I don't know whether drying them according to the label will shrink them or not)
Not the best. I bought for work and have only worn twice. The rise is a bit too low, little too low under belly button for me, and the legs are on the wider side. They are not soft in the slightest bit. Kind of stiff, and not very thick material. After I washed and dried them the one leg shrunk tighter than the other. I wanted to make the legs a little tighter and that is why I dried them. I bought a size 4. Would not buy again.
The fit is as expected for Dickies. My experience with Dickies is you buy a size up because they fit snug, then stretch, and then snug again after wash and repeat. I usually wear a size 2 but go with a 4 in these so the hips fit right ( It's in their sizing guild - use that and you will be good with sizes) . The regular fit is nice for work since they are not molding against the body but the quality is Great! Last pair of dickies lasted almost 2 years of constant wear 4-5 days a week at a serving job. Overall very happy with these pants and dickies in general and highly recommend them!
Ugh had high hopes for the brand. They shrunk terribly, faded and yes they were washed in cold water. They are now a charcoal color after 2 washes do not match a black top for work uniform. Although they are super soft they also collect lint and you have to use a lint roller constantly if you need them to look clean.
These pants are ok. They have the same problem that I've always seen with slacks. The waist is uncomfortably tight and non stretching. I was hoping for a different outcome with these, nope. The pants are stretchy, the waist needs to be too!! I ordered my size, and because of the unforgiving waist, I cannot dry them in the dryer. The pockets are nice and deep though, good. My search continues for a work slack I can tolerate.
