It's very likely anyone under 35 hasn't seen shorts that ride this high on the hips since they were hanging out at their grandparents house. They also do not have a button fastener, but rather the slide kind, which is likely very good for arthritic fingers. They are well made with adequate length, though, as you might expect from Dickies. Truly, these shorts are an investment into your future -- they'll last longer than social security!
