I was looking for pants to work in the woods with, and Dickies have a great reputation as work pants. These, though, are closer to dress pants in material than work pants. They are a thin, almost parachute-like material, that is in no way going to stand up to branches and underbrush. That was disappointing. However, after hemming them up two inches, they fit well, so I'll keep them for gardening and other non-strenuous outdoor activity.
Does no one make real work pants for women? We do real work, too. Some of us cut trees, haul brush, move rocks... We need pants that fit our shapes and hold up to our environment.
I never buy scrub pants because my thighs and butt are always a problem fit for those. I thought I would try again because a coworker of similar size to me said she loves them. Well as nice as they feel and look... they don’t fit me. The size is fine. If I had gotten a larger size they would look ridiculous. The problem is my shape. They are very tight in the thighs and don’t go all the way up in the crotch. I’m keeping them because as I lose some weight maybe they will feel better on.
only wish is for a pocket on the left leg as well. Otherwise these are perfect! Like them A LOT!!
After reading many other reviews and feeling that there was plenty room in the XXL ones I own. I tried purchasing an XL. They fit. However, they are snug. So, there is not room for comfort while working. I have heavier thighs and am a gal with a butt. SO, that being noted. Keep in mind, if that's where ya carry your weight. Go, with your normal sizing. I still think these pants are awesome!! I have my original pair yet and wash and wear them at least twice a week since I've owned them. Since the first review. And they are still in wonderful shape. Worth every penny!
I LOVE THESE PANTS!!! I'm not a nurse but I bought these for a few reasons. Dress code at work is office casual so I usually buy higher-end khakis and dress pants from Lane Bryant but I have been losing weight and I don't want to buy new pants every few months. These are lightweight but not too thin, they're comfortable, casual and they look nice. There is just the right amount of stretch. They are fitted in the right places and have a nice flare to the leg. Overall, I love them and I will buy more in different colors. I sized down as recommended by other reviewers and the sizing was perfect. For reference, I'm 5'7", 258 lbs and I bought the X-Large. I imagine they'll fit pretty good still when I lose more weight.
I'm 5'2 and 200 lbs, I got an XL regular. They are very long, and to big in the waist. There is a LOT of extra string when I pull to tighten it and because of close the strings are I can't get it completely tight. The Fabric is soft, they are comfortable and light weight.
Soft, consistant fabric with some stretch to it, normal wash and dry. Color is deep, and these serve nicely for office wear (I am not a healthcare worker). They are a little bigger than I expected; I normally err on the side of larger, but I recommend not doing so for these. The only concern I have is that the fabric shows undergarment lines a little more than I'd like, but this is the payoff for having a medium-weight fabric (versus a more sturdy and covering heavy-weight fabric).
