I love these pants. I am a ham and these in I think 5x were great the had door pockets, good fabric to not see-through. And there is a great shape to them for round bodies. I love these scub feeling pants for working in the kitchen. But they are pricey to me!!
I am 5'10" & +size. I normally wear between 24-26 size jeans, or 4x pants. I carry most my weight in my thighs/butt/hips area, with a smaller top & waist (aka: pear shaped). I don't usually order pants online because it's difficult to tell if the fit/cut will work for me. I ordered them because I needed pants for work, somewhere between casual & dressy. Being summer that's hard to come by, and I didn't want to have to rely on $40+ dress pants to get by. In the end someone suggested scrubs, and I'm glad they did! After reading a few reviews I decide to try the 4x size. I was pleasantly surprised by these pants. They fit great!
PROS: -Not too baggy or tight in the thighs, even when sitting. -The drawstring means I can have it as tight as I want around my waist. Though it is a looong drawstring. -The pockets are amazing! (after dealing with tiny or fake pockets in every other style of pant I was so excited for normal pockets here!) -The fabric is soft, thin (great for summer!), and surprisingly flexible. Not uber stretchy, but enough that it doesn't hinder bending and movement.
CONS (kindof): -I did notice that there seems to be extra room/fabric in the front. What happens is I can pull up the front to past my navel, but the back sits lower. Now this may be because my butt takes up more fabric haha. Or the cut could actually be leaving more room in front than back, it's hard to tell (If I didn't have a larger backend I wonder if I'd have a problem with these sliding down?) Kind of results in a lopsided fit, but not a deal-breaker. Though I do have to check or tug them up a little in the back every now and then. -It's about 3" too long. Being 5'10" this is not a problem I usually have! The bottom of the pant legs have a ~3" slit on the outside of the legs. That's 3" that I don't need. If I don't pull the pants up as high as possible then I'm walking on them. If you wear the same size but are shorter then I am then you're may need to hem these in some way.
I did also order and try the elastic band version of these
Dickies Women's Scrubs Xtreme Stretch Fit Elastic Waist, Black, 4X-Large
, same size (4x). They were the perfect length (they didn't have the slit & extra 3" for some reason). The thick elastic band seemed durable and wasn't too tight or loose. But the thigh area felt just a bit tighter then the drawstring version. I don't know why, perhaps it's because of how the fabric is gathered & sown to the elastic band. It was enough of a difference that I prefer the extra room/fabric of the drawstring style (especially for when you sit and your thighs do the pancake/spreading out thing haha). Other then the slight length & fit differences, the fabric & pockets were the same on both.
to say super stretch is an overstatement. There is some stretch, but not enough. They fit very strangely too. Because they were too tight in the thigh and didn't have the stretch needed I couldn't pull them up all the way. But they were large enough for my butt and waist.
I needed oversized pants for PT, that would be loose enough in the leg to put on and take off over my shoes, as well as easy to move in. Happily, these fit the bill. Must be laundered before first wearing - don’t skip this as it makes a difference in the feel of the cloth. A very black color that is colorfast. Draw string at the waist. I drip dried them after washing in cold water. Only problem is that I had to trim the bottom to the top of the side slit - I’m 5’-4”-ish and these were so long they went way under my shoes/walkers. I think I like the vertical pocket in the right leg but have yet to use it.
To start I'm not a nurse, but was looking for pants that were comfortable, wrinkle resistant, breathes and had pockets. I had originally intended to just wear these going out here and there. Recently we started doing a massive amount of yard work (and building a patio) and they put up with a TON of abuse! no rips, snags any thing! They were so comfortable to wear hauling brush, digging and moving about on the ground. i will be buying more of these! I may make a few into to shorts. Totally worth the price!
Comfy material, looks like it will be nice and breathable in the summer. Maybe size down from what the size chart says, thankfully it has a drawstring so I can cinch up the extra inches. I'm 5'9" and they go all the way to the floor with no shoes on.
These pants are very comfortable, and stretch with the movement of your body very well. I'm definitely satisfied with this purchase. Deducted a star because of the misleading photos that make it look like there are cargo pockets on both side; in reality, there's only a cargo pocket on the right side.
Love these pants! Only scrub bottoms I wear. As a bigger woman, currently wear a 28, these are the best, most stretchy scrub pant. Not at all restrictive. Some of the pockets have gotten holes for some reason but not really an issue for me since I don’t use them much.
