4.0 out of 5 starsGreat for ironing projects while sewing.

I got this little thing to put under my sewing machine so I could iron projects while I working on them. It's *almost* perfect for that. I'm using a plastic folding table, and the plastic under this mat does get a bit warm while ironing. But this mostly happens when I have to iron more than usual. When I do this, I just put a little cloth under it to help.
I was using only folded towels to iron on before this (much thicker and lumpier), and it got MUCH hotter underneath than this mat does.
I saw some people complain it stays a bit creased, and that's true, but it doesn't really bother me for what I'm doing. I like the hanging accessories on the front of it as well for pins and thread cutters and such.
Lint/thread pieces don't stick to it, so a quick zoom with a lint roller cleans it up in a jiffy.
3.0 out of 5 starsNot as thick as Golden Hands pad but not as expensive either.

Well, one of the reviews claimed that this pad was 1/2" thick so I thought I'd try it instead of the Golden Hands Pad 16 I was replacing. At best, this pad is only 1/4" thick and it's actually not as thick as the Golden Hands pad I was replacing even after 11 years of use. However, it was only about 1/2 the cost of the Golden Hands pad so maybe this will turn out to be a better deal. I could always buy 2 and then it would be 1/2" thick :-)
EDIT: By the way, as some folks have complained about having to cut this to size or having it slip around while putting on the cover after having cut it to size, I just cut off most of the excess length leaving enough extra to wrap around the edges of the board. This makes it easier to keep it centered while you put the cover on. Also, with the price today having dropped to $4.99 I think I'll get another now.
EDIT 2: Just noticed that the price of this jumped to $21.08. It's a nice pad but it's not worth that much. Glad I bought a spare when it was $4.99.
5.0 out of 5 starsReally high quality and also there is enough fabric for 2 small tabletop ironing boards.

This is a rectangular piece of fabric with the dimensions mentioned. It hasn't been cut to fit the pointy shape of an ironing board. You have to cut it yourself. That being said, I purchased this to replace the worn-out foam padding in my small tabletop ironing board. I traced it on the fabric and cut out the shape. It is perfect! More than happy with this really great replacement pad. Very easy to trace and cut. Also, there is enough fabric to cut for 2 small tabletop ironing boards, so if you have a friend in need, then you can pass on what you don't use! :)
3.0 out of 5 starsNot great for sewing project ironing.

Works in a pinch and does what it's supposed to. Nothing great about it. Because its been packaged folded for I'm assuming a while, the folds are nearly impossible to get out. It's been laying flat sine I bought it and I can still clearly see the folds. They aren't hard creases which is good though. This would be good for someone who needs to iron small things but I was hoping to use it to iron out large pieces of cloth to prepare for sewing. Not so great for that. I wouldn't buy again, but that doesn't mean it won't work for your purposes.
