We have wood laminate throughout our house and it’s much cheaper option buying a new Dyson for the floor attachment. However, it still struggles to pick up large items. We have oz-pet kitty litter and it takes a few attempts and for larger items you have to go straight over forward not backwards (like mowing the lawns). It’s also a very heavy attachment so be carful when using. Other than that it certainly is a must for hardwood or laminate without breaking the bank. I would still recommend.

It also emits a very different and louder sucking noise than the OEM part but is well priced, all things considered.

First, the attachment was received in the time stated and nicely packaged. I LOVE the larger opening that allows for larger items to be sucked into the machine. I use to hate having to pick up floor mess larger than a kernel of popcorn by hand. This attachment eliminates the mess. It's well constructed and looks like the original. Well done.

I made the mistake of buying a V8 animal instead of a V8 absolute, thinking i wouldn't need to pick up cheerios, but hten i realize 2 years later, that my sons does eat a lot of cheerios and there are plenty of them on the floor. my v8 animal brush can't pick them up. and I wasn't ready to pay 150$ plus tax to get the real deal, because when i purchased my v8, there was only 100$ difference between the 2 models, i kinda feel cheated of paying more than that. It’s super lightweight and swivels great on floors and best of all it doesn’t leave white scuff marks on my hardwood floors! It literally works just as great or better than the dyson brush head.
