Quick point: buying a chair is probably something I should have done at a shop where you can sit in chairs and try them out. This chair is a chair. The back rest is fine but the actual seat is some cheap, excessively soft foam over a flat board which doesn't tilt. I feel buyer's remorse and am probably going to save up money to buy something else. I would like to put up with it but it really isn't comfortable.
It's like all those things in the shops that take up the places on the shelves of the things you really want. It looks ok in the photo, but when you put it together and sit in it for a few hours, it just feels a bit cheap. I mean, it's not cheap but it feels and adjusts like a cheap chair. I think it really is part of a larger problem. We all got sold on this Chinese product thing because things seem so cheap, but actually, the things we really want just went up in cost and we a left with products like this that look the part but leave you wishing that globalisation never happened.
