I'm a great lover of coffee and I've tried and tested and tested many, many different coffees over the years. Folgers medium roast is the perfect medium roast. Just as I expect it to be. I've used it in both - French press and perculator . Coffee came out well each time. I usually use one tea spoon per mug (don't do small coffee cups) it has a nice rich flavour without the burned taste I had from other types and brands. I'd buy it again,in fact I already have bought it again.
When I'm buying a commercial coffee at a reasonable price point this is my go-to choice! I keep this Folgers "House Blend" flavor on Subscribe and Save for my office and it's a universally liked choice. It's full-bodied enough for black coffee drinkers, but not bitter at all, so those who prefer a lighter roast are happier with it too. It has a fruity brightness that I very much appreciate and light nutty notes that balance the flavor. For reference, I am someone who very much likes both dark and light coffee roasts, and regularly buys different varieties of higher end beans. I do not like coffee that has notes of chocolate, nor do I like anything that tastes heavily roasted, or as I would say, burnt.
I've been drinking hot black coffee for 50 years. Its hard to find a good home drip coffee, which we all know can not compete with coffee shop brewed coffee. For me, the Folgers house blend is as close as I can get to the coffee shop brewed coffee. As to the price, at 7 dollars for the 1 lb 8.2 o container is a bargain. But some of the reviews will complain on this price but "they" are willing to spend 3.5 to 8 dollars or more for some of those local coffee shops cup of coffee. Get real people. Make your own coffee and find a blend that makes your day. Then, you will have a great day.
Was looking for something a little less bitter, so decided to give the House Blend a try. Definitely is less bitter, unfortunately also has a lot less flavor than Classic Roast. Both are a “medium” roast, per Folgers, but there is a world of difference in flavor. If you like your coffee a bit on the weak side, this will probably work for you. I prefer mine stronger so will be going back to Classic Roast. Not bad coffee, just not what I was looking for.
Folgers has been my go-to favorite for years. Folgers works well with my single cup brew system and my regular 12 cup pot. I can always count on getting a good cup of coffee, every time! Please keep empty containers! They make the best paint can in the world and they are perfect for storing craft items.
Drank this years ago when House Blend first came out, and it was delicious. The "stuff" I bought here was NOT...upon opening, awful chemical smell--coffee taste was stale, awful. Went out with the garbage TODAY!. Never again to be purchased here!
Seeing that red can of coffee when I wake up brightens my eyes. I know my coffee/water ratio without much thinking, and I know my cup will be perfect. The flavor is just right, the easy to hold Folgers red can keeps the coffee fresh, and it’s always a good value.
