I've had a number of vacuum sealers before.
Generally they stopped auto switching from vacuum to seal because the foam rubber gaskets were no longer good enough.
I resolved that the next unit I bought would be backed up by replaceable gaskets.
Hence choosing Foodsaver.
I'm very pleased with the unit. It is more rugged that my previous units and the locking system is much easier to use. And, in addition, it seems to pulls a tighter vacuum.
Strongly recommended.

if you store meat in the freezer and want it as fresh as the day you put it in the freezer when you de-frost it, then this is a must have. You can buy meat in bulk break it down to meal size serves and have confidence the food is going to be just as fresh and juicy as the day you put it in the freezer NO MORE FREEZER BURN drying out your meat and anything else you freeze.

I freaking love this thing. It's easy to use, albeit a bit more time consuming than throwing everything in a freezer bag. It packs all my meat nice and flat which makes it great to freeze. My freezer is so much more organized now. My only problem with it is it doesn't seem to suck out all the air very well when the meat is wet. I washed some chicken thighs and tried to vacuum seal them and they didn't vacuum as nicely as my minced meat did. Still, I think it will help with freezer burn problems. The machine fits nicely into my kitchen drawer.

Fairly easy to use. Gets a good vacuum, and have used with sous vide no issues. Sometimes the sealer will not seal perfectly if there is a tiny piece of food or something but wiping the inside of the bag with paper towel gives a great seal and vacuum. I have sealed mince meat, chops, sausages etc

The small bit on the end of adaptor to place on the sealable bags broke off when pulling it back out which is disappointing. It worked but you get what you pay fluor. I would have expected at least a year out of it. Wouldn’t recommend.
