HUGE! We got a youth medium for my 8 year old, which is the size he normally wears and his size according to the size chart. They fit my husband. I double checked to make sure they sent the right thing and the package says youth medium. We tried to shrink them but they’re still huge. Maybe he can wear them in college.
Edit- we got a small, which should not fit him at all as he now wears a size 3.5 shoe, and they fit perfectly in length but they seem a little tight on my skinny 8 year old. The package says they fit show sizes 10-1. They seem ok though the ones we washed do seem to pick up a lot of lint a gunk. That’s been the case with most baseball socks we have found so far. I wish we could find some that are soft, don’t get all linty and crunchy when washed, don't cut off circulation, and don’t fall down.
I bought these according to shoe size - my son wears a 3.5, so I figured the M for size 2-5 would be just about perfect. Nope. First, too long - it extended above his knee caps. Second, SUPER tight. They were hard to get on. My son is pretty thin, so I found that odd. But the foot part fit perfectly, so I'm not sure how I'd re-order these to get a better fit. I can't return them because I washed them first... lesson learned.
When these arrived my daughter dug right in excited to have new socks for softball. These were labeled even on the package as youth small however they fit my adult male husbands feet. Keep looking if you are trying to locate youth socks.
We needed black socks for softball so I ordered these. These are NOT thick in any way! I was hoping for thick to help prevent blisters and to help the cleats fit better. They aren't necessary thin, but not the baseball socks I was expecting. They will certainly do and come to my daughters knees as they should. She is only 8 years old. If your child is older or really tall, these may not work.
