I bought these for an upcoming birthday party, purely for the purpose of keeping with the beat of my music collection from the 50’s to 80’s. They were easy to install. The app works beautifully and it offers an array of options for any mood. For the price, I was pleasantly impressed. I love all the colours and they sure light up my deck area and turn it into a disco (oh, those were the days). These lights bring it all back. FABULOUS!!!

Colours are vibrant and the remote is easy to use (but only has basic colours), but the app is not as good. The lights are supposed to work with external music but they just flash between colours really fast and don’t go with the music at all. The lights also make a high pitched noise when on. There are also no instructions for how to make them rainbow colours. For the price I would expect them to work as advertised. Light strips can either be connected from each branch of the Y connector, or can connect from the end of the other 5m strip. When connected in one long strip the colour at one end doesn’t match the other end but it’s not a big thing.
Overall probably 3.5 stars.
