I followed the recommendation of up on the band down on the cup and it was still a struggle to put on. I have no one to help me so my goal was to see if I could get this thing on. I had seen a few review on other shapewear where they stepped into it and shimmied it up so I though let's try it. And hey I got it on! So if your like me lacking of a big booty try hooking it up and shimmying into it. Once on it was super comfortable to my surprise. I suggest sizing the band one or two sizes and maybe getting an extender just in case. The cup is also structured and boned and it does give you a pointy shaped bust which is what I wanted for my vintage style clothing. I wear a 38DDD/F normally but ordered a 40DD
This bustier is surprisingly comfortable. I bought it to wear under my dress for a summer wedding and was very happy with the results. It shapes nicely without the bones digging or poking. After reading the reviews, I went a cup size down than I normally wear and got an F instead of the FF. I am glad that I did, as I didn't have the bunching in the bottom of the cups that many reviews mentioned. My only complaint is that the area between the bra cups is super high cut. I wasn't wearing an even remotely low cut dress and ended up having to work some magic with safety pins to keep the area between the cups from showing.
Wife purchased. She says: This is a pretty great bustier. It took a while to get the right size. I am a petite but not skinny 34 D+. I'm an hourglass with hips and a belly and some back fat but a small ribcage. The reviews made me think that I needed to size up. After trying out four different sizes, I ended up keeping my regular bra size. It's not perfect but it's close. I still have a little extra room in the tips of the D cups but that can be filled with a bullet bra pad. This bra is hard to get on because it needs to be snug to provide strapless support. Turning it around once it's fastened is a bit of a challenge. Once it's on, though, it's great! It's surprisingly comfortable. It nips my waist but doesn't create an overly distinct shelf at my hip. It's basically a perfect reproduction of an early 1960s bustier so the cups are somewhat pointy, but if you like that look you'll love it. One thing to note is that the lace is quite stiff so the cups are crinkly at the tips and that will show under knits. Again, bullet bra pads should fix that.
Just received in the mail, and haven't worn it out yet. That being said, I have zero doubts it will perform as expected. It fits a little high for me (namely in the armpits), but nothing I can't overlook. Overall, I'm a big-busted chick and have veered away from all strapless tops, thinking sad thoughts of "would look awful with my bra straps showing". Can't wait for my next shopping trip and trying on said strapless or spaghetti-strapped tops!
Another review mentioned the "50's style" effect to the bust. This is true. It definitely holds you up with a bit of a cone shape. Not Madonna, but yeah. They're up there.
Overall, happy and will definitely use in the future.
Purchased to wear under a strapless evening gown. Fits perfectly, both in cup size and waist. The boning delivers excellent lift and support (even for this busty 34F lady), while also creating a slight corseting effect. Depending on how wide your hips sit and how much padding you have there, this may or may not create a slight muffin top (muffin bottom?) effect. My dress was flowy (not curve-hugging), so it was not noticeable on me. Reasonable comfortable to wear for a long formal evening. The cups were truly full coverage, so if your dress has a plunging neckline, this may not work. My dress had a somewhat low-neckline, so for added insurance, I safety pinned the bodice to the inside of my dress. Pretty happy with my purchase.
I've been looking high and low for a decent supportive bra for under my strapless wedding gown. It's been a difficult journey. Either the cups are too small or too big or the bodice is too small or too big. I ordered the Goddess Bustier in a 38 DD (my regular bra size) as a last resort, and received a 38 D. I put it on and it fit pretty darn good. It's not perfect and feels a little scratchy, but my fiancee said that it looked sexier than the others. Guess this will be the one. Note: This bustier is shorter, so it won't hold in your belly. You'll have to find supportive panties or hosiery to wear beneath it to create a smooth line. And the cups are larger than average. I usually wear a DD or one size larger but the D was plenty big. Hope this helps!
I wear a 34J normally so I ordered 36FF. The bodice was great! But the cups(for once in my life) were ENORMOUS. Still the bodice held itSelf up well and it would be a spectacular bra once sized right. The construction of the cups allows for plenty of protrusion which I love since I have narrow but large breast. It is a pointed look and does rise high on the armpit for me but I can wear the bra lower on my waist and be fine. It is very, very well constructed-if you have the patience to find your size it will be worth the effort!
I would agree with previous reviews that the cups tend to run large on this bra. I noticed that there were gaps on the cups, which I was not expecting since my ladies are rather large (lets just say, I have to order special sizing online). I did go up a band size as recommended, which was perfect sizing for around. Overall, it did give good support. I returned due to the gaps on the cups and being advised by my seamstress that I do not need to wear a bustier with my wedding dress. We will see how well those puppies stay up without.
I'm a natural 40H. So it goes without saying that I have a hard time finding bras that fit, particularly strapless bras. Well to my pleasant surprise this bra fit my H cups very well. The only downside is the slight buckling. I believe the only reason I am having this issue is because I bought a 42H instead of a 40H, therefore it is slightly too big. I will size down and order my actual bra size next time. Overall, its a pretty good bra. I give it 4 stars!
I measure exactly as it said, ended up ordering a 48 DD when normally I would wear a bra size of 44D. The item fit like a dream stomach wise but the cup size was ridiculously large. I exchanged it down to a 48D. The cup size was STILL pretty big. I seriously could of dropped down to a C. The item is durable and very well made. I have a short torso but because where the bra stops the boneing doesn't bend when I sit which is great. I highly recommend shapewear with this though if you have a sagging flabby stomach like I do. My biggest issue is the eyelet clasp back from top to bottom. Everyone who helps me put it on has a bit of an issue. The cups are pointy like people say but my wedding dress is tight with thick material and you can't tell. It also comes up high on the chest, so I don't recommend this if you want to show some cleavage. It's perfect for my situation though!
