I'm a DDD and HATE wearing bras. They dig into my shoulders, hurt my back, and leave livid lines on my skin no matter how professionally fitted they are. Large breasts are just heavy. There's no way around that.
With this corset, though, the weight is distributed along my entire torso. It's harder to bend, yes. But that's worth it to lose the back ache, neck ache, and shoulder pain.
Plus with the strapless fit I can wear so many tops that used to be impossible for me to wear. More costumes, cute tops, and dresses just look better and I feel better in them without my bra straps digging into my shoulders.
Basically if you've got a sizable chest, consider a comfortable day corset like this one instead of a standard bra.
I normally wear a 40DD, I ordered a 40DD. It is not something I can put on alone, my fiance had to close the hooks. It is snug as a 40 but it is supportive and doesn't feel like it will loose its support that way, its not uncomfortable tight just a good bit of snug. The cups are weird though, very Madonna like a virgin or old style 50s pointy bras even on the DDs. And for all the women who have one slightly larger then the other, its kinda evident with this bra which is which, but I think it'll do the trick for the wedding dress. And hey, its not the $80+ dollars like the bridal boutiques so I'm good with it. The under wires are kinda weird and I actually had to fully bend over and lift myself into the cups, they sit a little higher than most of my other bras. And it stops above your belly button like 3 inches, and I'm a short 5 foot. So of course my muffin top became a fairly apparent cheeto roll, but with the spanex it all evens out in the jelly department, lol.
I went based off reviews and originally ordered a 40F (I'm normally a 38G) and it was way too big....I returned it for a 40DD and in retrospect I should have stayed true to my band width and went with a 38DD but didn't have time to return it again......but I do like the bra it's nice for "busty" women. I'm sure everyone will be different but my advice is stay with your band width but go down 1 or even 2 cups sizes
