The fit was good and the it was comfortable for approximately 9-10hours. I used it under my bridesmaid dress for a wedding. It was better than a strapless bra because of my cup size and how heavy my breasts are and I have a bigger stomach. Towards the end of the night, the wiring began pushong into me and was uncomfortable but, I have had this issue with other bras/bustiers. If you have a smaller cup size and smaller to no stomach I think this would be perfect.
The lace was very tough, which was good since I had to put it on backwards then shimmy it around. Anything too delicate would have had holes ripped into it. That being said, although durable the hard lace was scratchy. I could have lived with that except that I discovered long line bras are not for plus sized women with big butts. Keep in mind for this review that my behind is large relative to my size, which is also large. A smaller woman with a big behind is going to have a smaller rear than I do, so this bra may work for women of average weight.
First off, I will say, you need to look closely at the size! Since this goes down your sides, you may need to increase your band size if you carry fat in your tummy area. With increasing your band size, you may need to decrease your cup size. Depending on the brand, I wear a 36G or a 36FF. This was not available in G, so I ordered a 38FF not even thinking about the aforementioned band size issue. It does fit- but not as well as it could. I think if I ordered a 40F it would have been golden. As someone else said, it does give you the 50's pointy boobs, but not super terribly. Overall I like this bra. Just think carefully about the size before you order!
This is a well made quality Bustier Bra, but sizing is really strange. The fit around rib cage was a perfect match for my regular 44. However, I first ordered a 'DD' which is usual size, but the cup was WAY TOO BIG! Exchanged for 'D' and also WAY TOO BIG! Exchanged for 'C' and didn't even have time to try it on before leaving on trip where I was going to wear with Halloween costume. Put on to get ready and the cups were STILL WAY TOO BIG! i literally had to put two separate pairs of rolled up socks under each breast, along with a bra pad folded in half under the breasts and still could have used more 'padding' in order to fill out cup and lift for some cleavage for this specific costume. Had no choice be to wear it as I didn't have any other strapless bras. If I had more time, I would have gone for a 'B' cup exchange, but with the way this item fit, I don't know if that would have even worked either? I can't believe I would have had to go with a 'B 'or even an 'A' cup from a DD for one bra / bustier? It's too bad that the cup fit was so off as it would have been perfect otherwise.
Based on the reviews I ordered this item for a wedding dress and was very disappointed. I ordered a cup smaller based on the reviews and that didn’t work. It’s aa absolutely beautiful bra it just didn’t work for me so I’m returning. I do believe this might one of those “must try on” before purchasing. The price is a good price as I had to pay more when this one didn’t work.
Do not use your bra as an indicator for size! I ordered 4 sizes but either the bust fit and the waist was too small or the bust was too big but the waist fit. It's exhausting and I just gave up. Spare yourself and purchase some Spanx or Bare Necessities.
So it was both too large and too small. The breast size I ordered was D which is my normal size and the cup size I got was too large. I also ordered it in a size 48 because that’s what I am and the product either dug into my hips or into my armpits.
The material is scratchy and the bars that support is like it isn’t aligned right to the bra cup bar so it’s constantly going in and outside of the bar.
Well, I'm a bit of a conundrum. I have a larger bust/rib cage, but a smaller waist (classic hour glass)...I have had trouble finding things to fit into as far as strapless goes. I bought this to try out under my wedding dress -- ended up not loving the way it felt or looked. I opted out for having my alterations lady sew cups into the dress and alter it for me wearing nothing beneath for a better, more secure fit. (Any women out there wanting to have a made-for-them look, I high recommend them doing this! I'm so happy I did!) The bustier was seen at certain angles when I wore my dress, and while it was supportive, it wasn't very sexy feeling. But I might just be picky.
