Started nicely and finished with a disappointment

HORRIBLE quality and grade!! The first 2 times I bought this product was excellent quality/ grade of resin. Pure white color, excellent smell and burns beautifully! As a drink, it turns into milk like drink when it’s soaked in water.

The last 2 time I bought it or was a total disappointment and waste of money! It’s gray instead of white, burns with a lot of smoke and produces a Smokey nasty smell instead of a nice scent. Also, it does not dissolve in water and it’s not meant for drinking. This is a very very poor quality and lowest grade of frankincense ever! Take from an expert who grew up seeing all types of it.

Pea size?

I guess I didn't pay attention to that when I ordered it, was just looking at the reviews and also - well, MAINLY - based my decision based on "country of origin" since that's where I'm from and I was looking for EXACTLY what we use in Ethiopia for coffee ceremonies or church...etc.?? So.... Got my package and was disappointed because they weren't pea-sized but lentil-sized (i.e., smaller?). I was expecting rocks like back home? Then I decided to try it and....the aroma and smell is ON POINT!!! Goes to show size ain't important? I'll definitely reorder the same when I run out (consider it a lifetime membership!) So thank you!

I buy frankincense resin which I burn in an oil warmer. I was looking to buy via Amazon but normally I go through speciality stores. This looked like an amazing buy. However, I am a pretty good judge of good quality frankincense, and this unfortunately has no smell of frankincense at all, if there is a smell it is a faint woody smell of even a kind of burnt smell, but not frankincense. I would advise looking at church stores selling frankincense rather than buying this stuff!

Smells amazing once it's burned off

This is my first time actually buying the resin rather than the incense. I burned it with some quick light charcoal and it really made a lot of smoke, almost more than we could handle but it's a learning process. The scent of the fumes coming right off the resin smells a bit smoky and you don't get the full appreciation of how great this is until you walk away. Don't smell the smoke directly, burn it and then your house will smell like a temple or a Catholic church at Christmas mass.
I only burned a large pinch and it was enough to heavily scent the whole (small) house like Frankinscence. It didn't smell "burnt smoky" once it was done, only incensey. It was an absolutely wonderful experience and all the negative energy felt neutralized and cleared after I was done walking around the house with it. Most of mine aren't 'pea size,' they are more like aquarium gravel. It came double bagged. This bag will last a very long time.

Govinda is typically my go-to for all my incense resin needs. This time around, I was just a little less than impressed. I don’t necessarily dislike the product but I’m not really in love with the quality. Typically Frankincense is much more aromatic; whereas this had much more smoky ashy-like aroma in the background that really took away from the Frankincense. Also, the bag is definitely not at advertised. You’ll be disappointed at the amount received. The bag itself is only half full and contains lots of fillers, like resin dust, which is like sand. I weighed it and it came in at .654 lbs. So it is advertised as a pound of Frankincense, what was received was about a half pound of dust. Though at this price point, I can live with it. Should you know of a quality Frankincense, by all means, drop me a note - I would really appreciate it. Peace and blessings to you...

Not Church smell, more like poo

Lots of whatever it is, smells like plastic with a hint of rotten concentrated lemon juice. Does not smell like frankincense or is very poor quality, before and after burning. Not sure if it is all natural or some kind of synthetic fillers/binders. Might be good for an outside shed or something for the extra smoke and stench to chase away something or humans? Dunno, but very horrible smell.

PREFACE: IS NOT MY FIRST TIME USING RESIN; This stuff smells toxic. ABSOLUTELY 100% TERRIBLE! Smells like a cross between diesel and plastic burning. Good grief; just came home from Church and was so excited to find this in my box and now I don't know when I'll burn incense again. Never will buy this again; it's got to be bad for anyone to breathe this.

Burning plastic not frankincense

Very disappointed ... I burn this in a charcoal disc and it smells like burning plastic. Price was too good apparently.

The smell of the product is bland in the bag...I tried picking out different color pellets in the hope there was actual frankenincense in it...the pure white plets again smelled like burning plastic.
I don't think this is aged but suspect there is filler with the frankincense and the bag I received was mostly filler.
Based in the reviews I'm not the only one wish I would have returnes this when I could have...lesson learned!

IS POWDER, AND ALSO I LIKE MY FRANKINCENSE IN BULK PIECES BECAUSE IT IS BETTER AND EASIER TO PUT THE PIECES ON THE CHARCOAL. I was skeptical of the negative reviews but decided to give this brand a try because of the convenience & price. I should have trusted my instincts, payed a few more bucks, & waited the extra week for the Young Living! This smell is truly toxic.. almost as if it were burning plastic. I don't enjoy giving anyone a negative review, but I'm hoping to save someone the money, as well as, the time of returning it. Thankfully, Amazon was amazingly fast and understanding. I'll stay with Young Living until maybe something better comes along.
