Product isn't worth the money

Smelled like plastic and chemicals, they're most likely used as fillers in the manufacturing process. Even if you were to chew it as gum, you'd instantly have a horrible after taste in your mouth.

I was skeptical of the negative reviews but decided to give this brand a try because of the convenience & price. I should have trusted my instincts, payed a few more bucks, & waited the extra week for the Young Living! This smell is truly toxic.. almost as if it were burning plastic. I don't enjoy giving anyone a negative review, but I'm hoping to save someone the money, as well as, the time of returning it. Thankfully, Amazon was amazingly fast and understanding. I'll stay with Young Living until maybe something better comes along.

Acrid scent

Bought the thing based on general positive reviews. I should have given more attention to several critics. The bag I received barely smells Frankincense. I know, I have used other brands. This one smells really acrid, like burnt or overheated metal. Hard to describe but absolutely not agreeable.

I have previously purchased frankincense from other vendors and they were good. Wanted to try out a new vendor.

After getting the package I found that the product was old after opening it; as it had a very stale smell. I put it out in the sun for two days to get rid of the smell. I think it got better and then when I burnt it on pure coco charcoal, the fragrance was disappointing — it was mostly black char smoke.

Going back to previous vendor.

Incense is very very bad if I burn it as if burn ignited the plastic, but the smell is unpleasant and uncomfortable , its shape is penetrating the plastic and its color is strange. I used frankincense, the Omani Arab, a huge difference between the Omani and this one the omani arab smells nice and it calms the nerves, but this one brings disease and headache I regret that I bought it and I hope the company to refund my money

Disappointed. I usually buy young living's frankincense and that smells great. I thought I'd try Govinda brand. Although you get a huge bag, which is a giant amount, it doesn't smell pure. It has a strong plastic smell when burning and it closed up my throat. Although a lot was given product quality is below par. Thanks for your fast delivery and quantity, however, I won't buy again.

The scent is very lemony if you're into that. I'm not particularly fond of the scent but it was not awful. It was very smoky so I appreciated that. Some people did not enjoy the amount of smoke. So if you like a lot of smoke, this is good. The amount of smoke you get also depends on how much incense you decide to burn. So it can be less smoky if you burn less incense. The one drawback is that once it burns out it starts to smell burnt. So you would have to keep an eye on it and take the incense off the coal as soon as it turns black. The amount of incense is pretty generous. I got exactly one pound as advertised. It was double bagged. It also lasted me a little under a year and I used it a lot frequently.

Given the gross exaggeration on Govinda's package claiming "pea sized" resin (more like 90%+ rice fragments with the bottom filled with sand); it is hard to trust and believe this is even pure Frankincense. It made me feel sick! I've inhaled Frankincense my whole life (Greek Orthodox) it has never made my eyes burn, or made me cough like this stuff (whatever it is?): it didn't smell authentic or feel like what I'm used to experiencing. Also volumetrically dissimilar (i.e. received much smaller amount of Govinda product) when compared to quality lbs of Frankincense purchased in past from other vendors. Returned

Save your money . Don't buy this. What you'll get is one pound of resin. It burns like resin. It melts like resin. It even smokes like resin. But unfortunately it doesn't smell like resin. It doesn't smell like anything. There is absolutely no aroma. Nothing. Zip. Nada. Save your money. Buy something else. Me, I'm going to spend a little more at a church supply store.
