Smells awful (to me)

I'm not sure if this is the finished product (incense), or if this is a product used to manufacture incense. It appears to be popular but to me it smells awful. I was expecting a more pleasant smell. If you know this is the smell you're going for, it's probably right for you. If you're looking for something that smells more like floral or sandalwood or some other aromatic, or what Orthodox or Catholic churches use, go to their incense sites, this isn't the fragrance for you.
It arrived quickly, It does burn well, it was a large amount and it was packaged well. it seems to have good reviews.

This resin doesn’t burn completely on charcoal

As seen in the picture attached, this resin melts but does not burn away after melting. There is some issue with this resin. It also ends up wasting the charcoal.

I have been using frankincense resins and those completely burn away when out on burning charcoal.
