I'm reviewing "G Gradual Men's 7" Workout Running Shorts Quick Dry Lightweight Gym Shorts with Zip Pockets" on 02-11-22. I've purchased 4 or 6 pairs (I don't remember at the moment) of these shorts. The shorts themselves are comfortable, fit me well, and have held up after a few months of washing numerous times, HOWEVER my biggest complaint with these is that the drawstrings mysteriously came out of all 4-6 pairs when washing, even though I got wise to the problem and tied the drawstrings in a knot when I put these in the wash. Didn't help. The knots came loose, and the drawstrings got sucked completely out of the shorts. Useless, and gone. Now, I wouldn't be writing this if not for the fact that I'm almost 40 years old, a lifelong athlete, and I've almost never had this problem with ANY other clothing I've owned (and washed to death, believe me).
Bottom line, in terms of comfort and fit (and durability, other than the drawstrings) I'd give these 5 stars. But this issue with the drawstrings on ALL pairs of these shorts (4-6 total) is uncanny. So just beware.
Got the 2 pack with one light grey and the other black. The first time at gym with the black pair my phone was zipped into one of my pockets and kept falling out. For a while, I couldn’t figure out what was going on because the zipper was fully closed and the phone appeared to be falling out from the bottom of my shorts. Finally, I discovered the inner seam to my pocket had come undone and was the reason the cell phone kept falling out. This was kind of disappointing for my first time wearing one of the shorts. I did contact the company in hopes that they would maybe just send me one new pair of the black. They said to contact Amazon about a return, but I really didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning both pairs. Therefore, I repaired it myself with the iron and a adhesive seam. Hopefully, my repair holds up as I would hate to lose something out of the pocket.
Also, there is already a snag in the gray pair.
So in conclusion, these were OK for the low price but would not say quality is great. They do look pretty good and fit well, however.
I’m 6’3’’, 218, 46” chest, 35” waist. Wear an XXL for comfort and fit in almost ALL play/gym shorts. Nike, UA, Hind, even C9. These are a cool material and nicely tailored. Zip pockets on seams is a hot/cold addition for me. ‘Hot’ on things not falling out of my pockets; ‘cold’ on having to unzip my pockets to put anything, (even my hand) into it. Their symbol is even cool. Just the fit is too small.
All signs point to American based manufacturers and seller. But sizing smacks of Asian origin. Westerners are just larger.
Really sad that they’re so slim-fit. Cuz they weren’t listed as such. They’re not, they’re just made a size or two too small.
I’m too lazy to return them, so I’ll just lose some weight and they’ll fit like they were custom made
Bought some Pants from same company, fit great! 6'1, 225lbs, so bought the shorts for the gym, and unfortunately too short of an inseam, can't go to the gym with the twig n berries showing! Otherwise there not too bad. So if you have some junk in your front, not for you, unless you like ur business hugged tighter than a bear hugging a jar of honey. Would return, but for the price not worth the shipping. You skinny folks with smaller packages would love
These shorts aren't gonna be winning any awards. The draw string fell out after a few weeks. The logo did the same. They fit smaller than expected. The material is okaaaayish, so I can't knock it for that. They are no Russell Dryfit. Dryfit are my go tos. Although Russell is also somewhat slipping when it comes to the quality of their shorts. Conclusion: These shorts are not worth $29.99 for two. These should be more like $18.99 for two shorts. If they were cheaper, they would be worth it.
I did not realize these shorts were mesh, when I got them. I checked the description and saw that I missed that. that does not affect my rating though because it was my mistake.
they are comfortable and they fit fine in the waist. I've kind of big thighs from cycling and hiking and these are a little more snug than I like. they're not terrible, and I will keep wearing them. I just won't buy any more.
The pocket zippers when they are open have nowhere for the handles to go so they just stick up and jab you when you try to use the pocket. not a major issue but could be improved.
Decent shorts for the price - the zippered pockets are a nice touch. In terms of durability, they're probably not going to last that long. I've had them for about a month, and I've already noticed some threads coming loose near the bottom. I wash the shorts on delicate, and don't put them in the dryer, so it's a little disappointing that they're already starting to fray. But for a $16 pair of shorts, I probably shouldn't expect them to last for years and years. Also, maybe I received the wrong pair, but the shorts are not green camo color. They're a brown-ish camo color - not bad looking, but I would've preferred green camo as advertised.
I'm no longer the athletic type due to age and health so your mileage may vary if you buy these shorts for running or other similar activity. I wanted to try the zippered pockets because of having a huge and expensive phone that tries to sneak out when I'm not looking or I'm in a position that may encourage the phone to bolt to freedom. The zipper, of course, counters this and makes the phone behave. However, the zippers tend to be bit of a hassle because of their nature of not being soft like the fabric and you have to unzip to access the phone. If your gym short pockets are consistently deep (even within the same brand mine are not) you may want to pass on these but if you want the added security, they're worth it.
