I order a few pairs of these shorts. The positives--fit well, room in the butt which most shorts don't have, and some unique zippered pockets on both sides. They are good for lounging around or casual sports. However, I bought them for sweaty Xfit workouts, and they don't work so well. The shorts hold moisture and got crazy heavy during sweaty workouts. I spent a lot of time at the Xfit gym pulling up my heavy shorts during workouts.
I ordered two of these for my husband who wears a Large in every other brand. But, the Large fit him like a "Smedium." I originally chose these shorts because the pockets have zippers. He lost his keys once while running. I returned the L and ordered another pair in XL. The XL is still a little small compared to other brands. My husband is 6'3", lean and physically fit, if that helps to gauge.
These shorts are okay if your only expectation is that you have some decent shorts. The material can feel a little itchy and it doesn't feel like the kind of shorts you love to wear. I agree with some of the other reviews that it feels a bit snug around the waist.
I would probably buy some Nike Dri Fits if I could go back in time.
The medium is sized like a small. The unstretched waistband measures 28 inches, the rise is very short. White is VERY see-through. There is no lining. You can see the outlines of the pockets. I would size up at least one size and not buy white.
I wear size 34", in everything I own yet the Large for these is way too tight. I tried ordering XL and although the wasteband is good they're too baggy.
They're well made and look decent but the sizing is way, way off. I own many pairs of jeans, shorts and basketball shorts and size 34" in all of them fits me well. It won't happen, but this should be fixed. I'm sending all pairs back.
I ordered xl because I like my workout shorts to be a little loose. The xl I got were somewhere between a medium and large in my Hanes workout shorts. They seem like good quality, but definitely buy the next size up, at least.
There is no question that these shorts are quality and well made. The only downside is that they are a tad snug. I say that because all my other gym style shorts are XL and fit fine. These shorts are XL and while they fit, they are a shade too tight in the waist/crotch area. I am wearing them but I wish I ordered the next size up for a little more comfort/freedom in the important areas.
Quality of product is excellent. Their sizing is way off. I bought an almost identical XXL training short from Under Armour and it fits perfectly. These G Gradual shorts are tight, tight. Since I’m on a determined to lose diet, I’ll keep them until they finally fit. Don’t buy if you’re an XXL. They don’t offer a bigger size. If you are an XL, a XXL may fit.
