Adhesive removes paint, but bats don’t stay up on wall.

The bats look amazing and are easy to apply. However, the next day bats began to fall off the wall. The small bats have stayed up, but the medium and large bats have come down. I’m alarmed because I attempted to reposition one and the adhesive took the paint right off my wall. I have tons of adhesive strips on my wall where the bats fell off and I’m afraid to remove them and destroy my wall. My husband plans to try his heat gun on them after the holiday is over. For now, I’m just constantly putting the bats back up that have fallen to the floor. I’m not going to add anymore adhesive to attempt to support the larger bats better, because that could damage my wall even more in the end.

Pros: 1) if you put them on the outside of your house, and as long as the adhesive keeps them from falling off, the wings look like they're flapping when the wind catches them 2) they are quite thick and can be reused so it's a decent return on the cost

Cons: the adhesive strips were either too weak or too strong. Luckily, I only put them on a door and on the trim around our windows on the inside of my house. Half of them fell down constantly. The ones that didn't fall left huge chunks of adhesive on the trim that I had to spend an hour painfully scraping off and cleaning as to not damage the trim of the door.

TL; DR: if you do use these indoors use a trusted adhesive that will not damage your walls, like folded over painters tape or 3M command strips. If you use the included adhesives do NOT put them on your painted walls!!!

Bats were okay. I feel like I could have cut them out of a piece of plastic myself but hey, who has time for that?
Adhesive stickers are a waste of time. Of the 4 sized bats in the pack, 2 bats were too small for the pre-cut adhesive strips so you had to trim the strips down.

& they don’t stick for more than an hour! I tried different surfaces. Indoor. Outdoor. Even cleaning the surface with break cleaner before trying to stick on. Not 1 bat survived the 3 separate attempts I made at putting them up.

So now they’re in the garbage. Will buy a different Halloween decoration for my door.

Ruined my wall

I put these up 3 days before Halloween and when I removed them the day after Halloween, the adhesive wouldn’t come off the wall. When I used more pressure, it removed the paint from the wall. The bats are great and the display was exactly as I wanted, but I cannot recommend using them with the adhesive strips in the package... at least not on walls. I did not apply these anywhere else but I personally would not trust it enough to try.

These are ugly and kinda tacky.. if you must use these DO NOT use the adhesive strips they come with. They have attached themselves to my walls and don't want to come off. I had to scrape them off for 30 mins then use a magic eraser.

The adhesives provided don’t hold well to the bat (they always fall down) and the adhesive itself sticks to the wall very badly! I have to scrape it off. The bats wings bend, which over time, gravity pushes on the wing and makes it stick out straight then just fall off the wall.

I liked the bats whilst they were on our stucco (outside) wall. However I am now unable to remove the sticky adhesive these bats were delivered with. I have tried mild dishwashing liquid, warm water, light scrubbing and lightly a pummice stone. Considering the adhesive is stuck on our smooth stucco outside, I am unable to use a harsher scraping tool. I am lost as to what to do...:(
