I wanted to do a review. I have had this bra for a while now. It's rather large but it's so very comfortable. It's not flattering at all but if you are looking for something that is comfortable under any shirt plus it's not super grippy on your back, this is it. Fav bra for comfort lounging. Only down side is if you adjust your bra straps they have a quick release latch which is super fun when you quick release your bra at work.
I consider myself a bra connoisseur and I am ALWAYS on the hunt for the perfect comfort bra. One without wires that will provide gentle lift and separation, not dig into my sides or back, or ride up in the back, or create a uni-boob and the dreaded breast “crack” (sorry, but I hate looking down and seeing that) , OR dig into my sternum (costochondritis sufferer here). In order words, a tall order...nearly impossible to find. I had all but given up and resolved myself to ‘taping’ my breasts up and apart, but too much of that is irritating the gentle breast tissue and a difficult process to get “right”. Well, I’m not exactly sure how I found this bra...one of those odd Amazon search algorithms that listed this bra along with something completely unrelated, but lo and behold, it looked nice and had good reviews and an even better price (under $20)...so I bought one and it arrived yesterday. Tried it on this morning and was shook! It fit perfectly (full broad 38D here, bought XL), was easy to adjust due to the strap adjustments being in the front, and...it is comfortable! Best of all...NO crack from uni-boob!! And the girls are in place...not slipping out of the middle of the cups like many of my other ‘comfort’ bras do. I ordered two more colors this morning and those two bras were $9 each. Are you kidding me? All those years spending so much $$ on comfort bras that end up failing my list of criteria, and this was here all along for $9?!?! Hallelujah...
General Info about the Bra: This bra is super soft and stretchy and provides light support without any binding, even if you don't necessarily fit within the sizes that they offer. The only issue I'm having is that the hem right by the front of the straps is a little itchy, but not overly so and I'm hoping that wash&wear will eliminate that in time.
Why I love this bra so much: My midwife recommended that I find a soft, stretchy bra with straps that would completely detach for labor. That way if I have to get an IV for some reason, then it will be easier to get bras on/off. This is perfect. The largest size should technically be a little small on me as I'm currently about a 38 DD and growing (though I usually wear a 42C, because I prefer bands that are a little looser). This bra is so stretchy and soft that it just stretches to accommodate me, and there's still plenty of stretch left to accommodate more as my pregnancy progresses. It isn't great support if you're going to have a super-active day, but it's perfect for around the house or simple activities like walking or yoga.
The snap to get the straps to detach in the front can be managed pretty easily with one hand, but it's a little tricky at first. That being said, it's still easier to undo with one hand than some of the breastfeeding-specific bras I had tried on that marketed themselves as "one-handed" straps.
Overall, I think this is going to be a super comfortable option both when I'm giving birth and potentially for sleeping/around the house while I'm breastfeeding, even though it isn't actually marketed as a breastfeeding bra. I ended up ordering 2 more, just because the first one was so much more comfortable than the other bras I had considered.
Update: My son is 3 months old now and I've been pretty much living in these bras since his birth. They're also stretchy enough to put wireless pumps (like the Willow or Elvie) in without an extender. I highly recommend them.
I'm a 40B--plus size everywhere except the bust. Per the size chart, I ordered the XL and miraculously it fits! In fact, it's even a tad loose across the back as the fabric is VERY stretchy. There's little to no support in the cups, but I don't actually need that, and for a leisure bra it's fine. The underbust tends to roll up/bunch a little, but not uncomfortably so. For the price, I'd recommend it & will probably buy more in other colors.
I ended up ordering 3 of these. Super comfy. I'm usually a 38D/40C so the thinner less molded bra makes me feel less strapped in upright and on display, feels lifted but more natural. Although, if cold, it definitely will show, I know that may bother some.
