This shirt looks nice enough, a basic 3/4 sleeve top. It fits pretty much true to size. The only problem i had with it is it's definitely not a "tee" or tee material. It's pretty thick material, almost like scuba material surprisingly. I didn't expect it to be this thick. I wanted a shirt to wear in summer because i can be self conscious of my upper arms sometimes, but this top would be too hot. I'll keep it and probably wear it in the fall/winter.
I'm reading all the reviews about the neckline being too wide, boatneck, sloppy, etc., and wondering what happened to MY shirt? The neckline on mine is SMALLER than pictured, like the crewneck on a mens t-shirt. It doesn't show my collar bone(s?), and makes the shirt pretty non-descript. I'm 160 lbs/5'6' and bought an XXL, have a longish, slenderish neck, and average shoulder width. The rest of the shirt was fine, and the neck was sewn well, but is cut differently than photo. This was true in both the black and the turquoise that I bought.
The material, fit, and level of comfort are great. The fit is flattering without being too baggy or too tight. Thick enough to add little extra warmth without overheating. Thin enough to see dark or colored bras underneath. Very comfy with some stretch. Unfortunately, not sewn together well. I ordered 2 shirts to wear under scrubs. I didn't get to wear them more than twice as the seams were sewn too close to the edge in some areas and developed holes after washing. One has holes in both armits and the other along one side of the shirt. These are not tight fitting in me. I know they weren't expensive, but I expected more than 2 wears for the money.
Ordered this in medium in the grey and the black. Medium usually fits me with a little room to spare, but these were very tight. Ended up ordering the large which fit like most medium sizes. The black is very nice, but the grey one is definitely a different fabric, more like a cheap t-shirt. Also, the neck is large and somewhat misshapen, nothing like the black one. The only difference between the two was supposed to be the color. It used to be that Hanes was a t-shirt that you could rely on, but now it seems as though there is no quality control. Sad, another good company cheaps out
I did read the reviews before I purchase this item and it appeared they were about 50/50 as far as fit was concerned. Have said the shirts run small and the other half said they fit normal sizes. I always wear a medium so I decided to go ahead and purchase that size. It was a full size too small. I clipped out the inner tag so I feel I should keep it and can just wear it around the house. Very disappointed as I have several coordinating pieces with which I planned to wear this shirt.
I got this shirt in white and am very disappointed. It looks good when you first put it on, but the fabric is rather stiff and stretches out of shape. The logo is also darkly printed on the inside back collar, and is clearly very visible through the shirt. Within an hour of wearing it for the first time I rubbed a damp napkin very lightly across it to remove a crumb and it pilled like a cotton ball being torn apart. I tried rubbing a dry finger up and down on a small spot and more pilling instantly appeared.
So if you don't play on touching this shirt, you'll be fine.
The reviews indicated the shirt is true to size. I am a size small(4 or 4-6). I ordered a small, and it was too long and too tight, everywhere. Also, the material was thicker than expected and very stretchy, like spandex. I returned the shirts and ordered some Hanes long sleeve T-shirts, but had to return those too! The size small on these shirts were too long in length and sleeves. Too bad because I have previously purchased Hanes T-shirt shirts, and the quality has always been very good. Hope this helps.
I ordered a size small. I found the shirt very boxy in shape. I didn’t notice in the picture, that stitching ran at a angle for the arms. This was not a big deal… but there was puckering on one of the arm seems on the front shoulder by collar bone area. . This one must have just missed quality control, as this is supposed to be good brand. Due to the low price, I will just keep the shirt anyways to wear around the house. Overall, this is probably a good fit for the ladies with larger tummies. The shirt is definitely not fitted in the waist.
You get what you pay for which isn't good in this case. First they run small. I am 5'3" & weigh 118, the MEDIUM is snug. So I ordered a LARGE & not much difference. Secondly, when washed they come out of the dryer & need ironing. I thought buying a name brand I was familiar with that I would be safe. Oh well, they might make good rags to polish the car.
