About the author

Jeannie Dickson is the founder of the popular Instagram account @jeanniedicksondesigns where she is known for her modern watercolor techniques and unique lettering style. Through social media outlets, lettering guides, and online workshops, Jeannie strives to inspire sprouting artists to pursue their creative goals.
Born and raised in Guatemala City, Jeannie’s family moved to Mexico City in 2000 where she studied graphic design. In 2005 she married her husband and moved to the U.S. where she currently resides. They have two daughters.
As a young mom, Jeannie established her Etsy shop where she offered custom digital invites and stationery. As much as she enjoyed working on her computer, Jeannie began to feel the need to move away from the screen. Through watercolor, Jeannie found a new way to express her creativity. She dedicated many hours to acquaint herself with the medium while developing her own unique style.
Her bold and colorful designs have opened up partnership opportunities with companies such as Crayola, Princeton Brush Co., Michaels Stores, Pilot, and others.
Jeannie’s story continues and so does her passion to “Spark creativity whenever, wherever, and in whomever she can!”

My only disappointment is that I wanted more of the flower projects and perhaps a growth towards more advanced pieces towards the end of the book.
Hoping that there will be more books to follow.

It’s so colourful and brimming with useful information. I’d recommend it.
